| Any other night Mendes would have gotten knockout of the night. |

| 8 Decisions
3 TKO (Kim shoulder injury)
Not much to pick from. Hard to beat Silva's KO just on significance alone. But the whole knee to the chest thing is fitting, another badass stoppage stemming from a strike unique to his previous highlight finishes. | |

| I though Kim tapped out when he got injured. Looked like he clapped his hands together and said something when he hit the ground. Whatever he did was enough for Maia to stop before the ref jumped in. | |

Looked like a verbal tap to me. |

| http://mmajunkie.com/news/29590/ufc-148-salaries-griffin-ortiz-paydays-top-14-million-payroll.mmaThe full UFC 148 payouts included: Anderson Silva: $200,000 (no win bonus) def. Chael Sonnen: $50,000 Forrest Griffin: $275,000 (includes $150,000 win bonus) def. Tito Ortiz: $250,000 Cung Le: $150,000 (no win bonus) def. Patrick Cote: $21,000 Demian Maia: $96,000 (includes $48,000 win bonus) def. Dong Hyun Kim: $44,000 Chad Mendes: $36,000 (includes $18,000 win bonus) def. Fabricio Camoes: $8,000 Khabib Nurmagomedov: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus) def. Gleison Tibau: $31,000 Constantinos Philippou: $32,000 (includes $16,000 win bonus) def. Riki Fukuda: $28,000 Shane Roller: $46,000 (includes $23,000 win bonus) def. John Alessio: $10,000 Rafaello Oliveira: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus) def. Yoislandy Izquierdo: $6,000 Now, the usual disclaimer: The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income. They also do not include any other "locker room" or special discretionary bonuses the UFC oftentimes pays. They also do not include portions of the pay-per-view revenue that some top-level fighters receive. For example, as previously reported, UFC officials handed out additional $75,000 UFC 148 bonuses to Silva ("KO of the Night") and Griffin and Ortiz ("Fight of the Night"). In other words, the above figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event. | |

| Tito vs Forrest was by far the best fight on the card. But Ace vs Wandy 2 was actually far better then this fight. Amazing just how much of a better watch 47 was then 48. Is this going to be the biggest differential between 2 consecutive PPVs in terms of # of buys? UFC 99 did 360K buys and UFC 100 did 1.7. Might be the one to beat. | |
