| http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/6/27/3122297/muay-thai-great-john-wayne-parr-retired-from-the-sport-this-pastMuay Thai great John Wayne Parr retired from the sport this past weekend. In his retirement fight, the Australian fighter defeated Jordan Tai in the main event of Parr's new Boonchu Cup promotion - an event that featured full Muay Thai rules fights taking place inside a cage and with MMA style 4 oz. gloves. From all accounts, the event was a great success. Parr is a true gentleman of the sport and has always been a great ambassador for Muay Thai, particularly in Australia. It's a shame to see him hang up the gloves, though let's hope he stays on as a promoter and keeps his Caged Muay Thai promotion going. | |

| Melvin Manhoef should consider something like this. Kimbo probably wouldn't do well here because of leg kicks. James Toney vs Sergei anyone? | |
