You are crazy. Westbrook is much closer to D-Rose then he is James Harden. I don't understand the hate. He is a top 10 player in the NBA.

Westbrook has taken more shots this season than Kevin Durant and is shooting 41% from the field. Harden surrounded by lesser players and as the unquestioned man is shooting 46%.

Westbrook as "the guy" in an offense has a lot of 30 shot, poor % nights written all over it to me. He's better off next to a great player. Harden is smarter and more economical

I think you if ask just about any former NBA player or current analyst they will say Westbrook is a better player then Harden. Harden is a better shooter and that's it. Westbrook is better in every other aspect of the game. Better passer, better defender, better rebounder, he is a bigger mismatch vs just about every team in the league. He is also in better shape, more explosive, can play more minutes, faster and twice the athlete.

Ask them and report their answer back.

Rockets would be a worse team with if you swap Harden and Westbrook. Russell needs to be in the right situation whereas Harden could thrive pretty much anywhere. He's only shooting 41% with Durant on the floor and with him (which isn't all that surprising given that he's certainly not a great shooter) and if you put him in a spot where he was supposed to be the main scorer he would be way too shoot-first. Part of the reason people hated that trade when it was made was because Harden was the perfect guy to have off the bench and in the playoffs for those games when Westbrook was just out of control

The other reason I prefer Harden is that I don't see Westbrook being able to reinvent himself once his legs start to go. He relies too much on athleticism and just bringing it 40 minutes a night and that can't hold up forever. That's a few years down the line though without injuries

I'm seriously amazed by how stupid people are when it comes to Westbrook. The only stat you have is shooting %. Since when does better scorer mean better player? Westbrook is unquestionably a better defender, rebounder and passer. Harden will never beat Westbrook in any of those stats. How in the world can anyone think Harden is a more complete player when he only does 1 thing better?
People forget Westbrook wasn't a PG in college and has learned on the job. He has gotten better and better every season. His is averaging 8.4 assist this season, 5th in the NBA. Again better rebounder, better defender, better passer, better overall player.
You want a stat to look at, sure Harden took your team from shitty to slightly above average. But OKC hasn't dropped off one bit. Use the stats or the eyeball test, OKC hasn't lost a step. Harden was much closer to the 4th best player on OKC then he was the 2nd best. He is much closer in overall skill to Ibaka then he is Russell. I can't believe how stupid people are when it comes to this subject.
What fucking stat or eye ball test do you have that says anything other then Harden is a better scorer? Westbrook is better at all other aspects of the game. Elite defender, top 5 PG in passing this season and elite rebounder for his position. What else does the man have to do? It's unreal.

Bobbit might be right, 7-8 years from now when Westbrook's athleticism declines Harden could very well be the better player. But right now that is a long way down the road and his elite athleticism is an incredible attribute to have.

OU just can't take off his homer glasses. Earl Watson averaged 7 assists per game with KD as a rookie. His career average is 4.5. Take any PG in the league and put him with JD and company and you get awesome assist numbers.

Let me know when Westbrook is an MVP candidate.

LOL at me being the homer here. You still can't name 1 single thing Harden is better at then Westbrook besides shooting. Nothing I said in my previous post isn't true. Put Westbrook on a team where he is the man and he will be a MVP candidate too. Where was James Harden last year in the MVP discussion? The player they say hurts KD's MVP chances are Westbrook, 2nd team All-NBA last season. You are talking about a player that didn't even start for OKC last season. It's insane how you think he is better because of shooting alone with nothing else to base it off of. Westbrook is better at every single aspect of basketball except shooting. If you took Russell off OKC and put Harden back on OKC would not be in 1st place right now like they are. You have provided nothing that says Harden is better at anything except shooting. Nothing. 2nd team All NBA last season and you fuckers act like he is a bum. He was the unquestioned 2nd best player on OKC every year he has been in the league. It's ridiculous. Better rebounder, better passer, better defender. Can't dispute any of that. So you are left with shooting. That's all you got. It's unreal.

Now you are just making shit up. Better passer in what way? Westbrook's assist get better every season and he is killing Harden when it comes to assist. Does it make you feel better to say he causes more turnovers on D when you yourself admit Westbrook is a better defender? For his position he is a much, much better defender. Top 3 in the league at his position when it comes to overall defense. Harden isn't even top 15 at his position when it comes to defending. Hell he can't hang of Thabo's nuts when it comes to defending. You can't name a single PG that is a matchup problem for Westbrook.

Lame opposition but much better basketball from the Lakers the past two games. Blew both teams out just like they should, Howard being dominant inside, and much more active defensively

What the hell is up with this Celtics lineup? Fatass Sullinger and Bass? They should be in the D league with Melo. Rondo is the leading scorer right now and that's sad. They need to do a better draft and draft some fast scorers to help Rondo out it's like watching a pickup game around the corner with some 40 year old men and these guys are in their 20s.

Kg still will probably still carry them to the playoffs though. But they won't do it like last year against Miami.
