fast forward to today.
UFC And EA Announce New Video Game Deal At E3
EA Sports put together the best MMA game ever (in my humble opinion) with EA MMA, but the game lacked the major UFC license and suffered a bit because of it. In a bit of shocking news, at today's E3 event, EA announced that the UFC license issue has been rectified as they will be the makers of UFC games going forward.
Here's the tweet from UFC president Dana White confirming the news:
UFC had done a deal with EA sports for the UFC video game!!!!!!!
The best news if you're a fan of video games is that they won't be starting from the ground up. It's not going from the THQ games to a blank slate, it's putting a huge license on a great game. That's just exciting stuff for a video game nerd like myself.
I'm sure we'll have much more news on this as details emerge.
After the jump, the reminder of when Dana White said "EA Sports sucks."
HT to Ikuhisa Quinoa for the reminder of this in the comments:

I've heard THQ is almost gone anyways.
Will be interesting to see where this goes. EA fucking sucks, but they have bought up some good game makers.

EA, THQ, whatver...none of these games will be shit until you can max out your fighters skills and attributes like you can do in te big league sport games which i guess the UFC isnt.

I thought Dana was aniti-EA because they shunned them for so long? Then they made a rival game, where everyone in the game was blackballed from the UFC(yeah...right lol). Too bad 2K passed EA in sports gaming awhile back.

About time.
I've enjoyed every Fight Night that I've ever played.

Have you not enjoyed the newest UFC? I think its a good game.
Dont see why all the hate from other people though.
I am not a big fan of the fact you can't sway and avoid shots.
You can sway its just not as fluid of motion as in the Fight Nights. If that makes any sense.

Jeez Dana you could have showed a little enthusiasm.
Why? This is just more proof that you can't beleive a word Dana says. He sold out to a company he ripped for not jumping on board years ago.
Did you watch the clip ?

No, I have a hard time listening to Dana speak about anything. But I'm guessing now you were being sarcastic with your original post. Which is proof of how fake Dana White is.

My favorite UFC Undisputed was the 2009 Demo, Shogun vs Chuck all day and all night, it was all down hill for me from there.
UFC2010 was the best in My opinion. UFC undisputed 3 was missing something in the overall layout and controls.
