Who has had the better career, Koscheck vs Florian

Never been Champions, but have nice top 10 wins. Who you got?

1-1 early on, just thought it was in interesting question/debate.

i voted florian though my immediate thought after doing so was 'actually, it's probably koscheck'.

Just realized looking at both. Kenny has no wins over any former UFC Champions. Koscheck's only win over a former Champion was a way past his prime Hughes as an injury replacement. Hard to give much weight to that. Infact Kenny only has 1 win over anyone that has even fought for the UFC title, that win is Joe Stevenson. Kenny is 1-5 vs anyone that has fought for a UFC title.

On the flip side Kos is 3-3 vs people who have fought for the UFC title. But that is kind of misleading since Diego fought for the title at LW and Kos beat him at WW. Also like mentioned he beat an old Hughes as an injury replacement and Trigg was about 4.5 years removed from his title shot by the time Kos defeated him and also no where near his prime.

Just some some numbers I crunched out of bordem.

Looking at who had the better wins IMO and everything else, I went Kos. Even if I like Kenny much, much more.

It's close but I go Kos. Already 21 UFC fights in the same amount of time as Florian who made it to 17. Kos has 3 more wins and one more loss in that additional activity. Kos has had the better career thus far and will continue his career several more years.

Florian. He finishes fights! He has furthered his mma career with a microphone, so it wad an easy pick for me. Did i just cheat?

Interesting enough, Kos and Kenny have both been finished(not dec) twice in their careers. Kos has 10(9 in UFC) finishes to his name and Kenny has 12(10 in the UFC).

Diego Sanchez, below these guys or on par?

Sorry but personally I think Diego might be over Kenny. I always thought he would still win any rematch if they fought again, WW or LW.

Head to head I'd take Sanchez but I thought the question was who had the better career.

At this point I think Kenny has had the better career than Sanchez.

Before looking at the # my gut told me Kos, but in all actuality I might have to go with Florian. He's 10-3 at his correct weight (155) with losses to BJ, Gray, & Sean. He didn't get dominated in any of them either. I am torn!!!! Both are above Deigo in my mind. I'm going to go ahead and vote Kos for longevity and fighting more frequently.

Yeah head to head isn't really a factor, just saying. I just think Diego was the better fighter. He has the better wins IMO, however I don't think he actually won some of those so I'm not counting the Kamp and Diaz fights. But even without those his wins hold up to Kenny's IMO.
