Do we really need another interim title ? because the WW one has been such a huge success.........

Rankings can be either Barao or McDonald but the more dangerous guy to call out is the one that would check faber so bad his chin would look normal afterwards, not the guy Faber asked Dana for in his tweet to him.

Faber/or whoever he fights would defend it atleast once. Condit thinks the interim title is just his number 1 contender voucher and he won't put it up no matter how long he sits out waiting for GSP while Dana White encourages it proving the belt was only made to spice up the fight with Diaz. Yet this guy will be considered a UFC champion.

In this case it is necessary for an interim title holder, especially with Barao and to a point MacDonald essentially being next in line for title shots. This fight wasn't very far away and it'll be close to a year if not longer before Cruz will fight again.

They keeping cruz on the show, not going the Tito way. Good, he seems like a good coach.

They need to replace him to help hype the fight and they don't need to screw these guys up by switching their coaches on em mid way through. Tough decision. ( no pun intended)

Dana White confirmed that Faber will indeed still be fighting at UFC 148, and an interim title will be at stake. They're just looking for an opponent.

UFC confirms Urijah Faber's new opponent to be revealed on Friday's edition of 'TUF: Live'

Friday's 11th episode of "The Ultimate Fighter: Live" features the season's final two quarterfinal fights, but the most newsworthy moment of the night will involve one of the season's coaches.

As expected, UFC president Dana White will on Friday announce Urijah Faber's new opponent for UFC 148, where "The California Kid" and the soon-to-be-named foe will compete for the newly minted UFC interim bantamweight title.

The replacement slot was necessitated when opposing coach and current bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz was forced to bow out of the card with a blown ACL.

I like Barao or McDonald. I would prefer McDonald, would be awesome to see him decapitate the both of the last generations of WEC BW and FW champions.
