Couture has got to be the hardest working 46 year old athlete I know he puts ignorant lazy Bernard Hopkins to shame.

Coleman has been training at Xtreme I wonder if he'll stay there for this fight.

why do these guys need to retire? they're still competitive at a high level. aside from the vera fight Randy still puts on entertaining fights. I'm cool with old guys battling.

Coleman is gonna get controlled on the ground. It'll be boring but at least Randy won't gas.

Both are amazing wrestlers, but different. COuture does Greco while Coleman is freestyle. Finally we will know which is better for MMA, but my guess is that it will be a stand-up war with Couture coming out on top.

And for those who want these guys to retire, Randy could do what he did against Vera, against anyone in that division.

One fight between 2 older fighters does not settle that debate.

I hope its a stand up fight. That way when Coleman gasses we will be able to see old school Randy bobbin and weavin and picking him apart

That seems like a high percentage to me. Usually when 2 fighters are good at one thing they negate it and just let the hands go.

Really? This is the fight that will determine which wrestling style is best for mma (freestyle or greco)? I hardly think that this fight will show that being that they are two individual athletes, past their prime, both in mma and wrestling. I see Couture keeping the fight standing and outstriking Coleman.

This will settle this debate just like Wandy Liddell settled the Pride UFC debate and Nog Couture settled the BJJ-wrestling debate, along with Hughes Gracie. Oh wait, the world isn't cut and try and can't be typified by singular moments between fading stars. Drat reality!

Obviously it won't set the principle in stone, but they're roughly the same age, size and level of their particular discipline -- seems like as good a time as ever to compare the two. Looking forward to your response. The internet has made warriors out of guys like you.
