Main event letdown

Henderson will be looking for 1 punch, and to land it he will have to throw and be willing to get hit, Spong kept telling Rashad to go forward and pressure and he never did, that is one thing Henderson will do is go forward.

yep, i think Jones was right when he said Rashad put too much pressure on himself for this bout. Shad didnt want to get finished even if it meant his tactics would definitly lead to a lopsided decision loss. He didnt have a choice but to start getting agressive and he didnt do it because the last thing you want in a bout with all the drama and shit talk is to get knocked out.

Scored the fight 49-46 giving the first to Rashad.

I don't understand why Rashad started handfighting with Jones..that was really the beginning of the end. The low kick against Jon was there the entire fight, but Rashad completely abandoned all strategy when he started getting rocked by those elbows

Jones main strengths are above and beyond his reach and unpredictably. Rashad was not moving forward against Jones because he was constantly on guard against Jones' crazy strikes and for fear of between countered by Jon's incredible reach. Some things I noticed is that Jon really isn't that effective or a great counter puncher when he is moving backwards despite his reach. And like said before every time Jones takes a low leg kick he looks very uncomfortable. Overall though good performance.

Hendo will be interesting because he has the right hand and a granite chin.

Gus is the only LHW besides Machida that could match Jones standing. If he could develop more he could be a threat. He just has to really work on his takedown defense for the clinch because you know Jackson will tell Jon to play things safe.
