| This happens everytime a new contendor rears his ugly head. Everyone likes to forget how great GSP is and talk about how he's gonna get his ass kicked by johnny come lately...
Rory looked great Saturday night, but if he were in the cage with GSP, I'd put money on hom being put on his back and pounded out...just like everyone else.
GSP isn't just good...he's fucking amazing, one of the best of all time. Rory has a TON of work to do before he can challenge GSP for the belt.

You honestly think Koscheck will ever get another title shot against GSP after the last beating he got? Dana would never give him another shot. We're not talking about Dana, we're talking about GSP as though he decides matchmaking rather than Joe Silva. Focus.

| I'd be shocked if GSP allowed himself to be forced to face Koscheck again, even if Josh went on a rampage through the division. |

Oh yeah, Matt Serra over four years ago. Don't get Me wrong I see GSP's mastery of the game being far ahead of everyone else in the division and most guys in the sport, but he doesn't make a habit of pounding anyone out. He's forged his legacy as champion through 50-45's.

GSP has been facing extremely tough competition for a long time now, so pounding them out isn't exactly an easy task. If he were fighting the likes of Mike Pyle or Che Mills, he would very likely have more finishes.

| I missed the part where he stopped BJ rather than one corner throwing in the towel between rounds four and five. I agree he has been facing tough competition, but alot of the time he doesn't even try to finish. The last time he actually went for the finish (barring the panicked haymakers after Shields poked him in the eye) were the armbar attempts on Dan Hardy. | |

And while I have no problem with guys not wanting to fight each other, I fully see it as their prerogative. However, it's nice when a guy like Jones says, yeah I'll fight a team mate. I bet it was nice when he just up and decided one day to go back on what he had been saying for months and months. Then again he could lower his shorts and take a dump in his corner between rounds and you'd still try and tell us it was the most awesome thing any fighter has ever done, ever. This is what u have to do Ludo. U have to take your thumb and pointer finger, stick em up your ass, find that bug that is up there, and then pull it out. Pull that bug out of your ass.

| Well excuse Me for expecting a man to be true to his word, especially since he's the greatest thing since sliced bread according to captain organic. I didn't get the memo that it's cool to totally do a 180 on where you stand when it comes to something you've spoken on before. What YOU have to do is reach up and pull Bones' bone out of your face cave. | |

Either way, the beating he gave to BJ caused the fight to be stopped. It's almost more of an accomplishment to beat someone so badly that his corner is forced to rescue him from severe and possibly permanent injury. You're right, there is an element of GSP just being comfortable controlling from the top and taking the decision. I do think, though, that he gets a bad wrap for his lack of finishes lately. He's fighting guys that could knock anyone out with one well placed strike, (Jake Shields aside) and he is dominating them from start to finish in most cases. It's impressive even without the finish. He could've and probably should've broken Dan Hardy's arm, but GSP is a super nice guy and truly doesn't want to injure anyone. But I think it's pretty clear that he could've finished that fight if he wanted to curb Hardy's career for the foreseeable future.
