That's because he's only fought 1 top 10 guy in those fights. Every time he fights a top 10 guy he loses. Diaz is 4-3 in his last 7. If Bendo beats Edgar again then I'd rather see Pettis or Maynard get the next shot.

Technically Jim has fought two top 10 fighters in Bendo and Guillard(who was still in the top ten on some lists after losing to Lauzon, and was getting close to a bid for a title shot). Gray Maynard and Frankie Edgar weren't ranked anywhere near the top ten when he fought them.

Diaz is 4-3 in his last seven however in that same stretch he went 2-2 at Welterweight, which has absolutely no bearing at all in the Lightweight division. He comes back down and beats the shit out of both Gomi(who is way past his prime now, but still a good name to have on the resume) and Cerrone who was having a stellar year to that point.

Right. and Diaz also has Nicks momentum going. He has the same Diaz style. While his brother did win his last fight, none of the Diaz faithful think he lost either. A Nate Diaz shot after the way he has been kicking ass would do really well for a LW card.

Biggest in terms of overall lbs on the card. But I'm sure there will be cards that I'm more excited about, are more entertaining and has equal or more meaning. But it could very well have the most buys.
