Hopefully Diaz beats Miller, and we can see Pettis vs. Diaz.
Let Frankie lose again, and go to 145 where he can dominate people his size.
Then Pettis vs. Henderson again. I wouldnt mind seeing that fight again no doubt.
Seriously, I like Frankie, and think he is right below BJ as the best LW, but I want to see new faces fighting for the strap at 155. Too stacked of a division. What fight were you watching? Masvidal got his ass handed to him for 25 minutes. His entire gameplan through three rounds was to taunt, get hit in the face, taunt some more, and try to land the occasional flying knee. http://www.compustrike.com/stats_files/strikeforce1217/Melendez-Masvidal.HTMFor whatever reason the fightmetric page for the fight is all fucked up. But the overall totals kind of tell the story. http://hosteddb.fightmetric.com/events/details/567

| Gil dominated that fight and won every round in sense. On the other hand it was a close fight where he won five close rounds. Some people can only grasp one side or the other of this relativist perspective. I am great at sitting on fences though and telling all sides of a debate theyre stupid. | |

| Gil won that fight no doubt, I just think if he was put up against Pettis, he would be exposed. Just like the rest of CG camp. | |

Jake's resume was built largely on top flight guys who currently run shit in the UFC though and have fought at the championship level recently(Okami, Condit, Hendo etc), he was the first guy to win rounds against GSP, and the two fights he looked exceptionally bad in were Kampmann(a fight he won anyway) and Ellenberger. Those two fighters are the consensus number 1 and 2 contenders right now in the division. Jake Shields resume is LOADED with guys who fought at the highest levels of the sport or still fight at the highest levels. Even though he never held a UFC strap, his resume gives him a case to be considered for both the top ten all time WW and MW lists. For him to achieve what he achieved with such remedial striking is in a weird way a feat in itself as well. Diaz beat the breaks off Penn before dropping a close ass decision in a fight that cost his opponent about half his total fans and hundreds of thousands of sponsorship dollars with what he had to resort to in order to win it. And he was going to get an immediate rematch BUT HE GOT HIGH(in afro man voice) Nate Diaz is in a number 1 contender fight. Ronda trains at that camp and just destroyed the arm of her opponent and the soul of her opponent's girlfriend. Take that noise out of here.

Well if Edgar wins, how do you not give Henderson a rematch? Now think about that!

| Dana and Lorenzo stated they thought Edgar won the first fight. So if he wins the rematch they would probably feel it's settled and move on. | |

| Where there was jack shit for out cry for a rematch in this fight, Frankie again being 1-1 or 0-1-1 with another fighter... Rematch NOW!!!! Just save us from what we know will be another close fight where Bendo should win but Frankie will get the controversialgar decision, it's a fucking curse at this point. | |

| Watch Edgar clearly smoke him over the course of five lopsided rounds. He seems to come back stronger in rematches. However, so does Bendo actually... This is one of those fights that totally sucks at first but as it gets closer actually brings out the fannish love of the sport. | |

Nate Diaz is in a number 1 contender fight.
Ronda trains at that camp and just destroyed the arm of her opponent and the soul of her opponent's girlfriend.
Take that noise out of here. Lol... Jake was proved not to be the best WW/MW in the world. Got awarded a bullshit win vs. Kman. Got punched in the face by GSP. And looked like a scared faggot trying to take Akiyama down. Nick was proved not to be the best WW in the world. Beat up an unmotivated BJ for 2 rounds. Lost to NBK. Nate has had 2 slick wins vs. a worn down Cowboy, and one ancient Gomi. If it wasnt for his exciting fight style, he wouldnt be fighting Jim Miller for numero uno. Gil has.. fought in strikeforce against.... Ronda Rousey isnt a part of CG so I dont want to hear it. With that said, Gil and the Diaz brothers are exciting to watch and can throw down, but they are not the best.

| If "exposed" means "not the absolute best in the universe" then we agree. Though no one said they were. However, the fighters out of that camp are all elite level guys at their best. No question about that. That is one of the best camps in the sport. Jake looked like butt but he still won that fight with Kamp imo. And anyway, their careers didnt start in the UFC and they had already proved their worth as elite guys outside of it. | |

With that said, Gil and the Diaz brothers are exciting to watch and can throw down, but they are not the best. That same "scared faggot" also outstruck Akiyama more than 2 to 1 and almost 3 to 1 in significant strikes, so it sounds like you have a predisposed dislike for Shields. Nick beat the absolute shit out of BJ for two rounds. Motivation has nothing to do with it, we have NEVER seen BJ look like that after a fight even in fights two weight classes above what he and Nick fought at. This is coming from a known BJ Penn fan here. Nick gave BJ Penn the worst beating of his entire life. Nate dominated Cerrone. Don't even come in here with that "he's worn down" bullshit, Cerrone had the best year of his career in 2011 leading up to fighting Nate and showed no signs of slowing down prior. He just got overwhelmed by a fighter with a similar range who knew how to swarm him. Gilbert Melendez put a clinic on Shinya Aoki and made short work of making Tatsuya Kawajiri look like he was making his pro debut. Not to mention putting a sound beating on Jorge Masvidal. If you don't recognize the other names on his resume then I don't know what to tell you other than look up older MMA videos and stop being such a noob.

| Why is he a slight favorite over the dude who at the very least beat him on the cards and smashed his face in two places? Why? Because he will always get rematches maybe? | |
