Shad is being childish, trying to make it name a calling contest, trying to get into Jones's head. And Jones is staying above it. In no way was Jones owned there.

And yeah, while it does make for good hype to have these prefight back and forths, Im glad Jones is bringing a more philosophical outlook. It makes it that much easier to root for him. I've already seen Shad vs Page, saw way too much of the TUF bs, and then shad put on his typical hug a thon. I don't need to see another round of that, and I hope and expect Jones to crush Shad.

If he wasn't a fighter and just some tv personality acting the way he does he'd be on par with Jesse Ventura right now for one of the most polarizing figures in the business.

How he fights has precisely 0% to do with this thread or the video in the OP. This was two videos about an 8 minute segment on a talk show. If anyone is acting like the highschool girl it's you and Jones both. You because your hanging onto his every word like you want his baby, and him for saying this isn't personal like he doesn't have a past with Rashad and didn't say "he ruined my night twice".

No I get it, Shad saying "your fake" over and over again means he owned Jones.

Jones could say or do anything and he'd be hated on as the biggest fake in history. I feel sorry for him and I myself have criticized his personality. he's young, extreeeemely gifted in ways the sport hasn't seen, and always under the microscope. Im starting to gravitate toward him as I hate it when the fans form mindless slobbering mobs. Yea is he slightly immature? Sure. So would any of us be if we were 23 and on top of the world. Is he cocky sometimes, humble others? Obviously. He believes in being humble, respects the martial way of GSP, Machida etc but at the same time knows exactly zero other niggas got the game he has. His dichotomy of self in this particular situation is to be expected. I notice he, like Nick Diaz, like GSP, like many fighters has to play mind games with himself to stay focused and on the right path.

I imagine he's had four or five private moments with coaches/family etc where he "figured it all out" in recent months or years, just to realize he hasn't figured shit out.
