| I know it's free and it is MMA... But, is anyone really looking forward to Saturday's card? For me, it barely moves the needle and might not move me to even watch until Sunday night or even Monday morning. Outside of the top-3 fights, I have just about zero interest in anyone else (I like Hamman and wish his fight was on the main card). Some past oversees cards I have followed on the net due to curiosity, but I don't think I will even bother for this one. I mean, I'm not sure I have been this disinterested in a card since 72. Talk about a letdown after Saturday... Dana's going to have to step up the free stuff too... | |

| Come on man, these are the bouts that shake up rankings! It is always good on that end, plus you get to see a couple of fellas who really put out the effort because they are on the Tele? That just reeks of some throwing down! | |

| Usually these are the cards(the one we don't get too excited for) that turn out great because they give it their all and let the hands fly. | |

| Yeah, but it's Couture... Hands flying, rankings shaking? I'm not discounting the fact that the fights might be action packed and entertaining... I'm just not feeling this card at all... I mean seriously, I am looking over the line-up and it's making me a bit queazy to think this is what the UFC decided would be an actual card. With a 250 man roster and the majority of the talent in MMA under one banner, and this is what we're being spoon fed? Fuck me... | |

Sad to think that's just about the only positive of this card... I mean it's actually starting to put me in a funk thinking about how pathetic this card is with all of the talent in the UFC. Outside of the top 3 fights, the bottom half of the card looks like a reject list of TUF casting for the most part to be honest. Are the UK folk stupid enough to pay to watch this shit live? It's fucking free and I want my money back already...

Im not extremely pumped over this card either but there are some good fighters on the card to check out. Im a big Matt Brown fan so I like to watch him fight and Randy probably dont have too many left so i guess that makes it worth while for me if there are no big College Football games on primetime lol.

| I totally disagree, i think this is a great free card. Couture vs Vera will tell us wether Randy is gonna take a run at the LHW belt or wether Vera has finally figured it out and can live up to his potential. He could be a real threat for anyone at 205 if he is right. Im picking Vera, i think his reach and striking will be too much for Randy. Randy need to get that fight to the ground asap.
Swick vs Hardy is a number 1 contender fight that is sure to bring fireworks and i'd bet that someone gets ko'd. Cant wait for that fight. I'll take swick by tko.
Im not a Bisbing fan but he is a big draw in England and Kang is always dangerous. I think this fight should be pretty entertaining.
Matt Brown always brings it and i expect him to knock out Wilks early. Matt Brown is always fun to watch.
After that there is a shit load of LW fights on the undercard so these guys will all be trying to make a name for themselves. Not a bad Spike card at all. At least Clay Guida isn't headlining lol.

| I think we all have our heights set a little high for the UFC. They have had a ton of injuries/sickness, Rampage quitting, Hendo wanting a ton of $$$/UFC not giving him what he wants, etc etc...
And guess what we get a legend in Randy vs a top 20 LHW, the #1 contender fight at WW, and 3 TUF winners. This card isn't my fav, but complaining about a free card is dumb.

I appreciate any free MMA. But this card overall is a dog. Being free just makes it a little less of a dog (If this were a PPV it might not hit 150K even with Randy). And now that SF is giving us free cards that REALLY make this card look like shit, Dana and co. need to step their games up. Even with their limited roster they can put on a very good to great show every other or third month. That's about how often we get free shit from the UFC. People will watch because it's free. But if this card ran head to head against the SF card, the people on this board can't tell me they are taking this card over seeing the SF card... No one's that big of a UFC fanboy... Damn, I gotta leave my own thread alone... It's starting to hurt my gut again thinking about this...

Damn, I gotta leave my own thread alone... It's starting to hurt my gut again thinking about this... So you're comparing SF's biggest card of all time with its newest signees vs the "b" card of the month for the UFC. You slap a Fight Night on the title instead of UFC 105 and people a peeing on themselves because Randy is on a Fight Night.

The only fight worth even caring about is the WW scrap. Who cares about Bisping? The guy is garbage and his style is pathetic. Randy is washed up but Vera isn't much better. It's pathetic when they don't give us something good for free now and then. I want a good card to show how much they actually care about the fans, and if you WONT do that sign a network deal. SF is the saviour of MMA right now.

| I'm not trying to say 105 is a great card, but are you people honestly complaining about seeing Randy vs Vera, Swick vs Hardy, & Bisping vs Kang. All guys listed are top 20 in their division and in Swick's case top 5 most likely.
Look at what the UFC has shown for free in the last 2.5 months Nate Quarry vs. Tim Credeur Carlos Condit vs. Jake Ellenberger Gray Maynard vs. Roger Huerta Diaz vs. Melvin Guillard Drew McFedries vs. Tomasz Drwal Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller Antoni Hardonk vs. Patrick Barry Ryan Bader vs. Eric Schafer Stefan Struve vs. Chase Gormley Randy Couture vs. Brandon Vera Mike Swick vs. Dan Hardy Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang James Wilks vs. Matt Brown Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley Jon Madsen vs. Abe Wagner James McSweeney vs. Wes Shivers Roy Nelson vs. Kimbo Slice Brendan Schaub vs. Demico Rogers Justin Wren vs. Wes Sims Darrill Schoonover vs. Zak Jensen Matt Mitrione vs. Scott Junk Marcus Jones vs. Mike Wessel
Yeah the UFC is screwing us big time. Those assholes!

| Yeah, you hit it on the head Farmer... It's not fair to compare one orgs free cards to the kingpin that everyone's trying to topple's free card. It's just not right to talk about what a great job one org (With huge limitations in comparison) did in trying to please the fans while dogging the org (With endless resources) that's been doing it the longest for giving the fans garbage... What the hell was I thinking?
You're right to a point on one thing Farmer... This is a glorified Fight Night card. I don't get up for a FN card anymore than this because just like this card there's nothing of real interest beyond the third fight (Second fight for most FN cards). Randy at this point holds no more interest to me than Chuck does and belongs on FN cards or as the #5 on a PPV. This is where he should spend the twilight of his career. My bitch isn't the top-3 fights though... It's the TUF scrubs and the never will be's filling out the televised card. Throw some true contenders in there for crying out loud. That 250 man roster and 50+% of the worlds top-20's in every weight class should be able to fit in there somewhere, wouldn't ya think?... Even with a card a week later (Which honestly looks like a free card done right)...
If I'm not mistaken, SF plans on a live CBS show every 6 weeks or so keeping their cream in the limelight (An amazingly bold plan with their limited roster, and if they can't throw a name or two on the low televised spot it's excusable because of their tiny roster). My point is that with this plan in action, the UFC has to step up and keep pace. They need to evolve past giving shitty cards on Spike. As long as they're using Spike, they need to be utilizing the platform to showcase more than just TUF scrubs that we've already seen embarrass themselves on the show and a bunch of guys that won't be in the UFC a week later. Make sure that all 5 televised fights are noteworthy. I don't care about the undercard as that's the place for nobodies to show. Dana keeps talking about mainstream and pleasing the fans... Yet it seems as if he can't get out of his own way when opportunity is in hand.
I'm always happy to watch free MMA... But as a viewer I can criticize the show for its shortcomings... You have done it in the past as well, I'm sure...

| Wow, LTFG is really down on Randy. If he loses to Vera I'll concede that Randy's done as far as contending for a belt but losing to Lesnar and Nog is nothing to be ashamed about so I think he's still a great fighter. | |

I'm looking forward to Swick/Hardy. I think that will be the best matchup on the card. I'd like to see Swick give Hardy his first ever tko/ko. Hopefully it's a good war beacuse I think this card has big snoozer potential. *****But FREE*****

He's still the ultimate gameplanner and can grind out wins against better fighters because of it. But the game and fighters have passed him by and he "should" have accepted that. Moments of the Nog fight and the ending of the Lesnar fight were really painful to watch. I like Randy and have ultimate respect, but I worry that one of these days he's going to leave on a stretcher...
