Fantasy Baseball

First off .. hello, long time.

But second:

I am trying to keep my Fantasy Baseball League alive and from what I remember this league wasnt going to do another year .. and perhaps I could fill that void. It was it's first year last year and I had 7 solid owners and 3 who wasn't..

I need 3 replacement owners, however:

It is a Money and Keeper League:

It is only 50 dollars which isn't much (less than a PPV event) and the payouts are:
1st: 300
2nd: 150
3rd: 50

Why not turn your FBB skills into money now brosephs (and im not asking for anything today or anytime soon, by all star break)

sweet guys! .. ESPN FBB is doing maintenance for the upcoming season right now .. so unfortunately i can't paste the link to the league just yet .. but that will be the easiest way to do this.

So there is 3 teams I am replacing and because it is a keeper league you will have the choice of which of the 3 teams you would want.. and also out of the neglect not the players on their team, all 3 of these teams will have the top 3 pick in the draft as well.. because the were the bottom 3 in the league in record..

we keep 4 so when looking at the teams which team has the 4 players you would want to work with as well as the draft position you would like.

So when ESPN comes back up I will post the link .. give the name of the teams being replaced and also what draft position they have next year..

it be nice to get a few of you knuckleheads in the league

when is the draft, when do we need to pay by? Are we drafting whole new teams or are there players locked in from last season?

Nope.. you are only keeping 4 players from the previous year.. which is barely 1/6 of the team you will have so yeah still a lot of drafting and all that fun stuff..

I set the pay date by the All Star Break.. seems to be a good spot and isn't too sudden

and that draft isn't set yet.. wanting to fill the owner slots and also get feedback from everyone..

all 3 teams have 4 players worthy of keeping .. just some have better pitchers and other batters.. so whatever your strategy is

Say the team and your e-mail and its yours

first come first serve..

also if you have never played keepers before.. I love it.. makes things that much more interesting.. trades, dynasties, etc..

Rookies have more value due to the possibility of having him forever .. for instance you will become the biggest J-Up fan knowing that you have a franchise player.. makes it seem like more of an owner of a real team..

like if you are not looking good for the playoffs you can make some deals and possibly set up next year ..

stuff like that ..

and plus its not that high of a number of players being kept so the draft still is a big deal .. cuz we all know its not your first 4 picks that wins you the championship

Out of curiousity, how are you gonna do the $ with people all over the map? Been in weak leagues before where I knew the people but since they were in ______ it was a bitch to get the $, once this dudes cousin just disappeared.

By mail.. Last year I only had 2 people in the league that actually lived in Austin with me.. the rest was "abroad" you would say

and yeah I had 2 people not pay me last year (hence 2 of the 3 owners being replaced), which I bit the bullet and still ended up paying all the payouts in full because I wanted to get a legit FBB league going for long term and didnt want to lose any of my good owners..

Secondly I would trust any of the the people mentioned in this thread to be in a money league with me even though I have never met anyone in person .. Great posters / great owners / great guys.. all of you

Mantis in the a.m., but yo, if it comes down to it, and you "need" a guy, then I'd be cool with it, but fill it out first if you can. My buddies got a league and we're struggling on the 10th guy right now, but buy in is $165 and we don't have too many friends who are big enough baseball fans...

im surprised LA that you wouldn't be a person who would favor a keeper format .. with how you are able to pull trades and what not .. it would be in your benefit..
