Povetkin-Huck winner to fight Rahman

On Monday in Panama City, representatives of mandatory challenger Hasim Rahman and Alexander Povetkin/Marco Huck met in the WBA offices in Panama and resolved the situation involving Hasim Rahman. As scheduled, Huck will go to the ring on Feb. 25 against Russian WBA champ Alexander Povetkin in the Porsche-Arena, Stuttgart, Germany.

The meeting was held in the Panama office of the WBA with International Manager Ricardo Rizzo, WBA president Gilberto Mendoza, promoters Gregory Cohen (GCP LLP) and Chris Meyer (Sauerland Event) and Gilberto Jesus Mendoza WBA Vice Executive President. It was agreed that the winner of the Povetkin-Huck fight must face Rahman within a period not to exceed 120 days.

My god rahman is still fighting????

Yeah, he was like 284 or so in his last fight.

This is another prime example of how sanctioning bodies are killing the sport.

God look how fat he is! Thats a far cry from the man who upset Lennox Lewis and was a world champion.
