Well they were both definitely options. Cain requested Kongo post fight and Roy just loss in a #1 contenders match, so both were realistic options.

I'd rather see him fight Big Foot or Werdum.

Werdum is already scheduled to fight Schaub. There really aren't very many top HW out there that don't already have a fight booked.

I think they should just scrap the GP and bring Barnett over since Cormier is still injured.

I'm leaning that way, but Kongo will have about a 10 inch reach advantage. Gonna be tough.

Roy will press him against the fence and get the takedown, and from there we all know the rest. Kongos one hope is that he catches Roy coming in

Kongo will have to use his reach and strength advantage to avoid the take downs. But if he gets put down, he is in a world of trouble.

actually coming off a win. but lost the 2 previous vs Mir and Jr, so I think it's fair that roy gets a guy a level down from the title contendors.
