| Honestly, I think Machida won the the first round, either the third or fourth, and definitely lost the fifth. The rest of the rounds were kind of a toss-up and I favor the champ in those situations. Machida shrugged off several take-down attempts, and landed early with Muay Thai clinches. I also didn't feel like Shogun won any exchanges and rather just covered up each time. Shogun pushed the pace, but Machida never pushes the pace so nothing new there, it's his style. Shogun landed good kicks the whole fight and clinched a few times, and scored well in the last round. I felt like Shogun won, but looking back, I'm not so sure. | |
