| I agree. After Overeem and i guess Lesnar because he's Lesnar..and i suppose Cain as well..there are no clear cut contenders after that. I would not put Mir's recent streak above wins over Silva and potentially Barnett.
but if it's a must, the winner of Cormier/Barnett should fight the Mir-Nog winner..and i think Cormier and Barnett would defeat either of those two. Cormeir won't fight Velasquez

| Guy asked him if the next FOX card would have more fights and he got all pissed off and was like "this wasn't even part of the fox, deal the fox deal starts in 2012, this was just a special thing, all you assholes need to just shut up about how many fights are the card!" He sounded all bitter. | |

| What a fucking clown Dana is: Dana White's comments in the post-fight analysis booth left much to be desired. I understand the frustration that his champion got finished in a round but there's no reason to let those negative emotions come through on a broadcast. When he's sitting in that chair he's supposed to be the objective promoter, not criticize a fighter and camp. His exact comments were: - Quote :
- Listen, I'm no strategist and I'm nobody's coach but I don't understand why they didn't go for the shot early. They should have shot in on Junior Dos Santos knowing that he has the power early in the fight and tries to knock you out. But the truth is that Junior Dos Santos gets tired at the end of fights, you know? Here he is standing right in front of him trying to trade and bang with Junior Dos Santos and gets hit with that big right hand right behind the ear and down he goes. Down goes his heavyweight championship. I'll say it again, not saying that I'm some strategy coach but I don't know why they wouldn't take the shot on him and wrestle early.
It's one thing to feel a fight out but when you're standing right in front of a guy that you know his biggest weapons are his hands and he can knock you out and this thing is a five round fight. Get in there and start working him. Stay busy and put him against the fence. Rough him up and tire him out a little bit and bring it into the later rounds where Junior Dos Santos is well known for getting tired.

| Dana had to keep the obscenity under wraps for a solid hour on national TV..we knew he would snap in the post fight. | |

He also added not wanting to hear any crap about people not wanting to watch facebook or something and if you wanted to see all the fights you should of bought a damn ticket.

Dana is no good for that, his opinions are so contrived towards revenue only.

| i don't know. It seems Dana was kind of burying both of the fighters in the post fight. Dissing Cain's camp and practically calling JDS one dimensional while saying his gas tank sucks. When JDS wins the title in impressive KO fashion on national TV...you're supposed to hype him up. Brock Lesnar did Dana's job better than Dana in the post fight.
I understand why Cain didnt shoot right away. That is what JDS is expecting. You have to establish yourself in the stand up at the championship level. That is what turns wrestlers into champions...even Brock starts fights by testing the stand up to set up his shots. The fight was over before it even got started. I'm sure Cain would have gone for plenty of shots. Only Chael Sonnen gets away with putting his head down and shooting right away because he can handle the shots that might came with that...but he's never won a title.

for how well known it is...i didnt really know that. I watched the Nelson fight this morning and he was breathing hard early in the second in that, but other than that, he usually looks decent, but he is never rolling on the mat either, so who knows.

| Now that it is all over, I give the entire package an 8. Not perfect for hardcore MMA fan like myself with all the hoopla and after party nonesense and the shorter than desired main contest, but it was all still pretty good and also showcased great potential for the type of UFC show that can be put on FOX. I hope this "special" doesn't fully carry over. 2 hour, four fight shows, with the showcase and coverage fox style still, but less floof. | |

| Yeah, Dana as a promoter had to be disappointed that the fight was quick..and Cain didnt look good at all as well as looking a bit out of shape. | |

| Long layoffs are tough for anyone, but to be the champ and have to come back in and fight the likes of JDS so tough, I think that is why Brock is going to have a tough time with Overeem to long of a layoff for a fighter the likes of Overeem | |

| watching ESPN NEWS...more than 10 minutes in and they have not mentioned UFC or even hinted that they will in the still to come.
It's not even featured on the ticker.
Of course, it is a saturday and a cat could not scratch ESPN's hard on for amatuer football.
