Over-Under on Cain vs Jr. ratings

Im thinking 6 million is a good over under point.

It would be the highest rated MMA event ever, by a pretty good margin. It is the UFC, but Kimbo brought the casuals and non mma fans like nobodies business. Not sure if Cain and Jr can do the same.

It is only one fight, though I don't know if that really hurts anything.

cheesy card on spike drew 1.8. Anxious Boxing crowd prob gives it a look.

I'll still take the under. Breaks the record, but these are not household names.

4.85 for Kimbo vs Thompson

This could hit that and will definitely be a better show, even if it is just one fight. But this being in the Fall and not June will make it tough. I bet it goes over 4.85 based on the heavy NFL promotions the past two months. People are gonna check it out for an hour. A large chunk of people buying the Pac fight will switch over before to check it out because it's free and it's Cain.

I know the UFC crowd will turn out super strong, and they are good for at least 4, and I do expect some boxing crowd to tune in, but what if none of the casuals are swayed by Cain vs Dos Santos?

I don't think a 4 would be a fail when you are talking about a single fight in the middle of football season.

I think anything less than 10% of the network market share for that hour between the big four networks would be a fail. For example last weekend CBS had 18 million (LSU/Alabama), ABC had 3, Fox almost had 3 and NBC had 4 million. About 28 million people watching a network last Saturday. If one out of ten homes was watching MMA last saturday instead of ABC, NBC, or CBS, that would be good.

Will the Manny fight being on the same night help or hurt the numbers? I know they aren't at the same time as the fight itself but does it overlap with the start of the PPV?

I think it will actually help, it will mean there are already a group of people committed to being near a tv, and they might want to miss the opening fight in favor of an actual interesting HW matchup featuring a Hispanic fighter to boot.
