| I like Condit in the fight.
Yeah, Dana is probably regretting not taking Kos up on his offer for 137. I guessing Dana thought that if Diaz were to win, it would not be such an ass beating so Condit's reservations were safe as long as he protected him..but if Condit had defeated Kos at the same event, it would be easier to make an arguement for Condit deserving a shot over Diaz..which he does not.
He should have let the fight happen. Since Condit had been preparing for GSP he would have been more than ready for Koscheck and fuck protecting contenders.

Yup. It is a shame because guys like Condit and Diaz are better MMA fighters but they don't have the strength or wrestling skills to get up all the time when a guy like Kos or Fitch hump them the whole fight. Kos will atleast try to stand befoer going for the LnP.

| does this fight make sense?
i wonder if this brings a GSP/anderson silva fight closer to reality? if koscheck wins (which he may very well do) then GSP has nobody left to fight at welterweight, nobody wants to see GSP/koscheck again.

I think it's more likely we see GSP/Kos 3 than we ever see GSP/Anderson. But as I've said before I'm a pro-rematch guy I'm not one of these fans who act like cause one fighter beat other fighter twice it means that the loser of those fights could never progress to get better than the fighter he lost to. Why not? I mean if Fitch could fight it should be him but since he's still hurt Kos is next in line. Is this just you hating or do you actually think that? lol

He should be fighting someone like Sheilds right now.

| I don't think losing a title shot puts you back that far down that line, yeah the Hughes win isn't special but he held that higher rank going into that fight. | |

Even though Jake lost to Ellenberger I still think him and Kos are on the same level at this point. That fight makes much more sense to me.

JMO i agree but i don't think GSP v koscheck III would be one of those fights that could turn out different to the first two. i think this is a very difficut test for condit and on it's own merits a very good fight, but what are they going to do with GSP if he beats diaz and koscheck beats condit?

Jon Dangerfield. I doubt Fitch gets another shot, not when he drew with Penn. Probably Ellenberger, after his destruction of Shields would be hard to ignore him. |

Probably Ellenberger, after his destruction of Shields would be hard to ignore him. No one in the history of the UFC has had to to more to get a title rematch then Jon Fitch. I swear it's like some people still think Alves is closer to a title shot then Fitch. Jon Fitch hasn't lost a fight in the UFC since 2008 and hasn't loss to someone other then GSP since 2002.

| If Kos beats Condit I wouldn't have a problem with Fitch fighting GSP. I want it to happen so the Fitch fans can see their boy get beat and STFU and quit bringing it up. I do agree it was a dumb move by the UFC to match up Condit with Kos. Let Condit fight Ellenberger and the winner gets GSP. If Condit beats Kos everyone will want to see him fight GSP. A guy that can scrap like CC and a win over a strong wrestler like Kos would make for a huge title fight. | |

Well it would be Kos vs GSP 3, Kos has already lost twice to GSP.
