| Im kind of with Kings, not sure what this guy has done for people to want him gone from the game.
though it's not surprising that a fight manager who constantly finds ways to get his name in the headlines will draw ire.

| I think it is a lot easier to come off douche'y as a manager of any talent in general. Not a position that makes anyone other than who you represent like you a lot of the time. | |

| If Mike Roberts was quote worthy or handled a lot of successful fighters, people would say the same of him probably. | |

| I knew I have seen it before. His translations have been questioned quite a bit. | |

| The message stays consistent though in those. He forgets things or puts them in different order and simplifies at times, but really, with a thesaurus one could have a fun synonym exercise breaking down quotes into very different looking messages that say virtually the same thing. | |

I'm sure Ed has given more PC versions of what the fighters have said on more then one occasion. I don't think that is a reach in assuming that. I just hate how the manger is the translator, it just leaves those questions in my mind.

| It's not uncommon. Eduardo Alonso does alright. | |

Ed Soares being a liar, or misquoting Silva is old hat. We were talking about it a few years ago.

| I don't care if he translates well or not. I want to see Silva Vs Sonnen II. If soares is trying to protect his client, he is doing a bad job. If Silva is ducking Sonnen, everyone will figure that out. If Silva-Sonnen II happens and Sonnen wins? He is still going on the Mt. Rushmore of MMA long with Royce, Randy, and GSP... | |

I won't argue with any of this.

I won't argue with any of this. I will. Randy isn't Mt Rushmore of MMA Worthy.

Randy isn't Mt Rushmore of MMA Worthy. I didn't want to be the guy that pointed that out. Some folks just love Randy. Dude lost 1/3 of his fights. I don't care how many Tim Sylvia's he beat. I wouldn't put him on my Mt Rushmore right now.

| Isnt it Ed Soares duty to Anderson Silva to make him look good?
So if Anderson said something offensive or silly in portuguese, then Ed Soares is doing right for his client by sugarcoating it or making sure the shit that would gather poor PR does not come out. That is if you buy that he even does give false translations, this is the only instance i can see it making any sense for him to do so..and in that instance..who the hell cares?

They get a filter on their comments that other fighters don't. Fighters often times don't say the right thing after a fight. But if there comments were filtered through the manager first, different story.
