Vitor Belfort vs Rumble Johnson set for UFC 142

Finally Johnson makes the move before his body fails and he died cutting weight. Vitor should handle him.

i think they go on with it and Vitor gets a nice KO win... great move by AJ though, he was only hurting himself by cutting so much... shows some confidence too stepping up and fighting Vitor right off the back

Weird time for him to do this given he had no problem making 170 last time out and beat the shit out of Brenneman

Yah, agree with this.

was he really that big on fight night, where he had to cut and the replenish all sorts of water weight, or is he a guy who gets totally out of shape in between fights. If it is the latter, then I don't see this as a great move. More along the lines of giving in to his weakness.

Yeah he was doing the whole Dolce thing and if I remember correctly from following it last fight, he was on pace to make weight the whole way and didn't even have to cut that much on the day of the weigh-ins. I still think he can have success at 185 obviously, although this is one of the matchups that I don't really like for him

Nice fight. Would've liked Johnson to fight someone like Maia first though.

Vitor kills him and this was a stupid move for Rumble. His next fight would have been against a top guy in the WW division. He was two big wins away from a title shot imo.

This fight makes less sense if Rumble isn't staying at MW? If he just wants an easy weight cut why not let him fight Thiago Alves at a catch weight?

170 is still his home if he loses

This is like his contender fight for 170. If he beats Vitor at 185 that sets him up nicely for a championship fight at 170.

Oh please! It isn't like Rumble hasn't done it for years and he is like 6'5" or anything. I just don't see the point in this fight for all parties involved. Probably the worst booked fight for Zuffa all year.
