| We can do it for single events or group a few together for a mini season.
I'll set up a private league if anyone is interested.

| The fighters at each event have an assigned salary. Using your available budget for the event, choose the fighters you think will produce the most fantasy points. To use all the money in your budget, you'll have the chance to buy multiple "units" of individual fighters. You can buy a little bit of everyone or a lot of just a few fighters. The choice is yours!
PLAYING THE GAME
The Roster page is your home for making picks, seeing results, and viewing your score.
Making Picks An event will open for picks approximately four days before the scheduled date. At that time, the prices for each fighter will appear and the plus and minus buttons will allow you to make selections. Once an event is open, making picks is as easy as clicking the plus/minus buttons or typing in the desired whole number of units for each fighter you want to buy. The only restrictions on what you can buy are:
» You can't buy more than $150 on one fighter. » You can't spend more than the allotted budget for each event
When you're done, click Save Changes to lock-in your picks. If you want more information about the fighters in the event, click the pop-out icon next to their names to get details, additional stats, and a link to their Full Profile.
Deadlines Open events will lock for picks within a few hours of the start of the event (not the start of the televised portion). To ensure you get your picks in on time, the Roster page will let you know how much time is left before the event locks.
Changes to Fight Card In the case where a fight matchup changes while an event is open for picks, all picks for the match will be cleared and players will be responsible for making a new pick.
Example: Fighter A is scheduled to fight Fighter B and you buy units of Fighter A. While the event is open for picks, Fighter B gets injured and is replaced by Fighter C. All picks for this match are cleared. Even though you picked Fighter A, who is still fighting, you must evaluate the new matchup, assess the salaries for the new matchup and make a new selection before the event locks for picks.
In the highly unlikely event that a match changes after an event is locked, all picks for the affected match (or matches) will be cleared.
Game Alerts In the event that a change is made to a fight in an open event, a Game Alert will be issued notifying players of the need to make a new pick. It is highly recommended that all players subscribe to Game Alerts.
SCORING
Scoring in MMA Salary Cap Challenge is similar to the rules of other fantasy sports games. Each of the statistical categories in the game has a point value associated with it. When your fighters rack-up numbers in those categories, you get points for their performance. The unique scoring feature of this game is that all statistical categories are expressed in per-minute rate stats so we don't penalize fighters who finish their fights quickly.
Points in the game are calculated in three easy steps:
Step 1: Look at total fight time, rounded up to the whole minute. This gives you the number of fight minutes.
Examples: Fight ends 0:07 of Round 1 = 1 Fight Minute Fight ends at 2:35 of Round 3 = 13 Fight Minutes (five in Round 1+ five in Round 2, and the fight ended in the third minute of Round 3).
Step 2: Calculate per-minute stats. To do this, simply divide the stats credited to the fighter by the number of fight minutes calculated in Step 1. For example, Fighter A lands 60 significant strikes in a 15-minute fight. He would get credit for 4 strikes landed per minute (SLpM). In a different fight, Fighter B also landed 60 significant strikes, but did so in only 10 minutes. He'd get credit for 6 SLpM.
Step 3: Multiply the per-minute stats by the fantasy point values. The values for each category can be found in this table:
Knockdowns per Minute 25 points Significant Strikes Landed per Minute 2 points Takedowns Landed per Minute 10 points Submission Attempts per Minute 20 points Positional Advancements (Passes) per Minute 10 points
In the example above, Fighter A lands 60 significant strikes in a 15-minute fight and Fighter B lands 60 significant strikes in a 10-minute fight. Fighter A would earn 8 points (4 SLpM x 2 points) for those 60 strikes while Fighter B would earn 12 points (6 SLpM x 2 points) for the same number landed.
Here is the actual fantasy performance for Jon Jones in his fight at UFC 128 (Fight Minutes: 13):
Statistic # pM Points KD 1 0.08 2 STR 75 5.77 11.54 TD 3 0.23 2.3 SUB 0 0 0 PASS 4 0.31 3.1 Total Fantasy Points 18.94
TIEBREAK SYSTEM
At each event, the game keeps track of how close your score compares to the total possible score for that event. This number is called the Percent of Ideal Score. At the end of the game, if two or more players finish with the same number of points, the tie will be broken in favor of the player who averaged the highest average Percent of Ideal Score across all the events in the season. If the players have the same Average Percent of Ideal Score, they will be considered tied for the purposes of standings.

| Something different to try. I'll be using the KISS approach with my picks.
KISS = Keep it simple stupid.

| Sounds complicated. I think I ran one for a while. It was actually pretty difficult to keep up manually. Someone on ESPN had one too. I wrecked shop with Mousasi in the Dream Tourney. | |

| I won't be keeping up with it manually, it's on a website that does it all. | |

| holy shit! I hope all i have to do is show and pick fifghters. I want a NP Grand Prix first and foremost though. I am not even sure I can keep up with both. I will be down for the one that doesn't have enough people. The GP needs 6 more if Wolf doesn't sign up so? I would like to be in one of them though for sure. | |

Nah, it seems pretty easy. Just figure out what guys you want to buy shares in and do it. If you click on the fighter it shows you how many points he got in his last 3 fights.

Only takes maybe 5 minutes to pick your fighters, very easy to do both.
