omg why does everyone get so bent out of shape about him missing a stupid PR thing, who the fuck cares! The only thing i care about is that the fighters show up in great shape ready to fight and Diaz always does which is more than you can say about other fighters.

And yes, it would be awesome if it was a 5 rounder, but Penn aint gonna be down for that. He should be because he doesn't have to cut much weight to make 170, this is a number 1 contender match, and he is a legend so he should be down for it. But he wont be.

I think Character development is far more important to the UFC. The louder and more frequent you perform your act the higher your UFC ranking will be.

my opinion - i hate the PR things. It seems to forced to have these guys there - none of whom want to be there- get asked stupid repetitive questions that mean absolutely nothing. I'd rather see that money put towards more commercials, more online advertising, maybe even more specials focusing on trainging camps and giving the fans a glimpse at what the fight life is really like. Instead you drag them away from training to fly somewhere, answer a bunch of stupid questions that dont help sell the fight anyway, i just dont see the point in it.

Do the PR stuff in the very beginning of training or very end right before the fight, but dont keep interfering with these guys training schedules, there is just no point to it.

They exist regardless and every one does them. Matter of character.

just stop... he's already stated twice that he doesn't care and that he'd do a five rounder... Diaz has no clue how the talk of a five round fight started in the first place and says he doesn't care it's the same for him.

Obviously they do interviews with other people but the 3 biggest events are always the press conference a couple months out (like Machida-Jones did last week), the conference call like 2 weeks before and the pre fight presser a few days before and the main and co-main (at the very least) are always present for them. Its a matter of being a professional

At least Nick is real. he's crazy, literally imo, but he's real. It's not an act like some other loud mouth fighters.

I prefer it to be a 3 round fight. The pace will be alot better for Diaz and Penn. This fight has me more hyped up then almost any other I have been waiting for in the history of MMA!
