| Horrible call by the referee, clearly he lifted him off his feet, I can see how he landed that could've turned out to be the outcome, and it looked like he was hurt when he landed, I wouldn't want a belt that way, but hey that's me | |

| i haven't seen it yet but it all sounds very bizarre.
i guess it may vary from sanctioning body to sanctioning body but i always though a fight had to go on for so long for a technical decision to come into play.

| Hopkins had the perfect opportunity to retire on the Pascal win, but he's a pig headed fool. |

Couldn't be called a no contest because the ref didn't declare a foul either way.

| Hopkins was unable to continue and that - in the eyes of referee Pat Russell – no clear cut foul had taken place, the sequence was ruled as a technical knockout due to injury.
“The referee never called it a foul – be it unintentional or intentional, and Hopkins was unable to continue, therefore it was a technical knockout victory,” explained George Dodd, Executive Officer of the California State Athletic Commission, when asked why a no-decision wasn’t instead called. “That’s something we have to discuss with the referee, but he didn’t make the ruling which is why we have to call it a TKO victory for now.”
This tells you the Commission will review it and render a decision.

| This has to get turned into a no contest, the ref did not even give him a chance to fight, nor tell him if you can't fight it will be a TKO, used to love boxing but from people ducking each other to this kinda thing, wow, I would've been pissed if I had actually paid to watch that debacle, although the fight right before was pretty damn good. | |

| It should be a no contest. I can see how Hopkins could have hurt his shoulder Kings. I thought he landed more on his shoulder and on the corner of the ring. That shit probably hurt! Chad Dawson is a bee-itch! | |

Settle down, Bernard just got a taste of his own method and didn't like it. To be honest even though there was only two rounds it looked like it was going to be a long night for Hopkins, we were spared another ugly fight. |

| You're right, he probably didn't like the dislocation that occurred. I wouldn't either if I was in the middle of a boxing match
Dawson is a bitch | |

Dawson is right, so much for the tough gangster from Philly, those Antown Echols days are far behind him. |

| Lol yeah he's a pussy for not fighting through a dislocation
Amazing that you'll call Hopkins a pussy while rooting for bitches that call people out for years and then complain about a toe injury and retire lol

He'll get no sympathy from me after years of Oscar acting inside the ring, I've still not forgiven him for that five minute phantom low blow farce from the Calzaghe fight. |

| It looked like to me that Dawson wa going to be able to withstand Hopkin's tactics and land blows ala Jermaine Taylor, and win the fight, but I don't think that halfway into the second round Hopkins thought I need to get out of this fight, lefit injury, bullshit call, and hope it gets overturned and we get to see the fight again, Dawson saying he is not going to fight him agan, I'm thinking that will be your next fight "Bad" Chad, who's bad | |

A win over Hopkins will put him on the map though, a legit win that is.
