Feeling glad i have not bought nor ever intend to buy this game. Played the demo, the gameplay is pretty similar and unappealing to me. Context and menus and voice talent oh my! You can paint the car but if the engine is no good whats the point.
That fight was a couple years ago and Donaire just got done ducking Vic when they were trying to make a rematch

It was great, Vic had destroyed Donaires brother, they gave him little brothers and the counter fo the fucking year happened
Vic moved up became the man in the division and then got his ass spanked by Agbeko

That was 2007 in the Flyweight division. Since then Vic moved up to Super Flyweight to become the division's first undisputed champion.

Half the voice acting is recycled from last year. They fixed some but not all presentation issues inside the Octagon. Fighters still tend to stand around after KO's sometimes and look robotic in their responses. I really wished the ref was more of an AI character that had to stop the bout, so after all these same ol one-punch left hook KOs with Shogun I could chase em down and deliver some academic blows.
Also, who gets KO'd by standing elbows? I can think off the top of my head one standing elbow KO that Anderson recorded in Cage Rage. Yet I'd say 30% of all Undisputed KO's come from elbows.
It's easy for us to sit here and play armchair developer I know, but I still think there is a lot of things wrong with this that wouldn't have been hard to fix.
Why not "flash submissions"?
80% of all Liddell fights on Undisputed end under 180 seconds, so why not make flash submissions more common? Or perhaps make submissions executed with a type of guitar hero like series of buttons that have to be timed just right? Fighters with excellent sub skills get easier button combinations.
Anti-climatic to have a fight end in a front choke from the first blocked takedown attempt? Maybe, maybe not, but that is a very common ending to fights. The whole submission concept is fundamentally backwards. Many subs are easier early in fights when fighters aren't slippery, and they become much harder when everyone is tired and soggy. Yet Undisputed you have to tire out your opponent, which takes much effort to do so without just KOing them on some counter, and then literally bruise your hand to pull it off on a harder setting.
In both games, executing a submission without just KOing your opponent first is amazingly difficult.

I saw Vic fight sometime in the last year and he won in the second round after losing the start of the fight pretty badly. The announcers were acting like Vic is washed up.

I think that was against Rojas. Overreaction considering it only lasted two rounds, sometimes you start slow.

I played the game again tonight as Eddie Sanchez, made it all the way to a title fight where Nog sub'd me in round 1, and won the title with Shogun. Overall the gameplay is becoming more fun the more familar I get with it. I may have been too hard on it initially.

I just got so fuckin pissed off at this game...Its really frustrating how I can dominate an ENTIRE fight and then got flash KO'd by a random ass LUCKY counter.
How's come none of my counters get flash KO's? This game is fuckin stupid, I swear it.
