Yeah Wolfy's vote count as what???100 regular posters vote? So if you count his 100 votes along with LA and chork you have 102 votes for it, so there is the Wolfy math for you. SOONERS you got a lot of stress or something lately? Lose your job? Catch your girlfriend with a black guy? You are going absolutely apeshit over literally nothing.

If it was a K1 game I'd be cool with it, but anything that has to do with grappling, takedowns and throws either have the same flaws as the first game or were made downright worse. Anyone who hated the groundgame in 2009 will want to punch a wall in 2010. If you didn't mind it you may or may not like it now. You can no longer posture up and throw punches with mount effectively. It in theory can be done, but they've made mount so unrealistic that it is almost a stagnant position, and 9 out of 10 times you'll move to side mount, then back to mount, then to north south. Raining down punches from inside full guard is more effective. Furthermore, the submission aspect of the game has been made even more difficult. It is still impossible to perform submissions early in fights, and the only way you're able to sub anyone is with the "shine" where you destroy your hand via spinning the stick faster than your skin comfortably allows. I suggest wearing a four ounce finger glove while playing this game.

With friends that system is fun, and with friends there are a ton of cool knockouts and battles, but online won't be nearly as fun and by yourself it's got literally no replay value.

AVOID THE BRADY GAMES STRATEGY GUIDE - IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ALL THE BASIC MOVES IN IT, NONE OF THE FIGHTERS INDIVIDUAL MOVES, AND IS FLAT OUT WRONG ON A COUPLE ISSUES.

One thing I have to point out is the game is 90% good, but the 10% they screwed up they really screwed up. It completely sucks the life from this title.

Possibly, but I felt compelled to make a thread specifically to rant about how much this game disappointed me.

I agree with pretty much everything you have said about the ground game and I think your frustrations with the game are very fair.

Wasn't even interested in buying this one. I got so pissed with the first one I stopped playing within a week.

I had a buddy that would always pick Cro Cop and headkick the shit out of me. I couldn't even beat him with Brock or Mir who are pretty much unbeatable on that game let alone trying to beat him with Big Nog, who was who I liked to play with. They made head kicks too powerfull and I couldn't submit anyone.

the ground game did suck even though i was able to get submissions it was always a fucking pain, I would find myself going for sub after sub, and normally say fuck it and just knock the opponent out

read this game got shitty reviews

I'll believe it when I see it. People are talking down in UFC 2010 but I'm not so sure EA's first attempt will be any better. We shall see though.

EA's first attempt at something would probably be better than THQ's 15th attempt.

IMO SEGA>EA when it comes to sports games. I preffer NBA 2K10, NHL 2K10 and last time I played baseball I also prefered 2K.

I don't know if it will be better but the trailers they were showing for it during one of the Strikeforce events looked horrible. Multiple posters on here that night discussing the fights were all commenting on how shitty it looked

Sooners, i guess it's just a matter of preference. I prefer NBA live, and they are also famous for their fight night engine which will be in the mma game.

I'm not a huge fan of the fight night games and I think it will be very complicated to convert that to MMA with kicks, clinch ect.
I have preffered 2K to Live for years now. Not even close in my personal opinion. I think SEGA does an amazing job on the new systems. I agree with the people who say they did a much better job converting to PS3 and 360.

Sega doesn't make an mma game though. So when it's down to EA, and THQ (which obviously isn't getting rave reviews) i'll take EA all day. I've always regarded them as one of the best Video game companies.

I'm just really curious to how Fight Night controls can convert to MMA with kicks and shit. I'll give EA a fair look for sure, probalby end up owning both games eventually.
