| Both fighters are bitches IMO.
AA beats both. Froch isn't going to make it to a decision against Abraham.

| Dirrell won the fight. Wish he had fought more like he did in the 11th throughout the whole thing but he certainly won. Froch is a scrub | |

| Some of the early rounds were close and you know they were going to go to the champ/hometown fighter. I thought Dirrell won though. The ref was horrible he let Froch get away with hitting on the break and soooo many rabbit punches. | |

| Froch won. Andre wouldn't fight and Froch took what he gave him, and his counters while running away weren't enough to cancel out the power shots and aggression of Froch. Andre isn't Money and he isn't Machida. Good decision.
Side note - Had the ref penalized Andre for holding earlier he likely would have KO'd Froch because the fight really picked up once he decided he had to stand in the pocket and fight.
Side note 2 - Andre has horrible takedown defense.

| Even though I had Dirrell winning I do have to agree with Wolfy.
Dirrell done himself no favors by running, ducking, clinching and whinning throughout the whole fight. When your facing a champion in his backyard turning your back and literally running away is not going to score points.
If Dirrell actually started the fight the way he fought after the point deduction there would be no debate about who won and Dirrell would be going into the Abrahm fight with a victory. |

| I WATCHED it a second time.
First time i saw it i immediatly was rooting for Andre mostly because he came out camo and USa. As the fight went into the middle rounds i found myself switching to froch simly for aggressivness and taking the fight to Andre.
I think andre could have won on points or at least have been alot closer, but you have to take the fight away from the champ and dirrell did not.
HE was not robbed, but the scoring was more onesided than most would score.

| Ya. I could see a case for Dirrell if neither fighter was a title holder, but it is unbecoming of a champion to run, hold, flop down and complain. In a close fight, default to the champion.
This reminds me somewhat of the Forrest-Rampage fight, where it was so close that a lot of people felt it should have gone with Page. But at least there, Forrest brought the fight and fought like a champion.
Philosophical differences influence who "won" the fight, because some people are all about "speed and boxing" and not so much attitude and heart.
But we got to be real on one thing though, Froch should have been penalized for rabbit punching.

But we got to be real on one thing though, Froch should have been penalized for rabbit punching. Yeah the ref either had to penalize froch, or not penalize Andre. I liked that in general he was letting the fighters do their thing for most of the fight, I hate point deductions, but then to take a point from Andre and to continue to let Froch punch behind the head wasn't right. I actually thought Andre won, close to a robbery, but wolf makes 3 good points. 1)hometown. 2)champion. 3)running and flopping. I had thought about the previous 2 obviously, but not the 3rd, and it's true no one wants a champ who does these things. Still for the most part Froch could not hit andre, and andre delivered far more damage, even if it was in counter punching style. But he's young, and as the fight went on he showed grit and class. sometimes it's good to get that first loss under the belt.
