| Do we know that this fight will even be at LHW?
Sokodujou is currently at 225 right now, and Mousasi can easily make HW. They were going to fight in the super hulk tourney so i imagine it would not be a problem to have these guys fight at HW.
Other than that, even at 205, Sok is not under contract to Stirkeforce so they can't really give him a title shot and have him...you know...win. That's why i think it won't even be at 205. Even in a non-title bout, it's bad if Mousasi loses in the weight class he's the man in, so i think it will be a HW fight.

| Of course Mousasi can make HW....all he has to do is not cut!
Mousasi still isn't a huge LHW. His love with HW makes me worry about his future since he just came from MW.

| If Soko wins a LHW bout that presents a really uncomfortable situation for SF. They need to make this an open or catchweight fight, and in that way, if Soko wins, that sets up a really good rematch at LHW. | |

How would this set up a good rematch? Maybe down the road a year or few, but not immediately.

How would this set up a good rematch? Maybe down the road a year or few, but not immediately. Ugh really? Happens in boxing periodically, where a champ loses an out-weight fight to a guy or a non-title fight, thus becoming the "real" or "lineal" champ, setting up a situation where the fight has to happen at the title weight. Sets up a great, immediate rematch. Farmer, you sir would be the only one on the planet not interested in a title fight between the two if Mousasi loses a non-title fight. Who else would deserve a title bid?

Farmer, you sir would be the only one on the planet not interested in a title fight between the two if Mousasi loses a non-title fight. Who else would deserve a title bid? That may make sense if Soko was a HW, but he's not. Both are LHW and fighting not at that weight just because you don't want it to be a title shot is dumb. Let them fight now for the belt. Normally if Soko wins you'd want him to fight some top contenders while Mousasi does the same to earn a title shot again, but there is no one else out there at 205.

| Oh, I agree it should be a title fight in the first place. But if it's not going to be a title fight, then like I said, make it a off-weight fight. Otherwise a Soko win means Strikeforce has a champ who has lost an in-weight fight in Strikeforce. That essentially ruins the belt.
If it is an open or catch weight bout, and Soko wins, then it sets up a great real title fight as opposed to destroying the belt's credibility. See my point?
