Alex Smith is slowly sewing the mouths of the haters shut week after week.

Well Gore was hurt, ran only 6 times for 0 and Alex Smith beats Eli Manning.

Giants held the ball for 9 more minutes, they attempted 19 more plays and the Niners still beat them.

Agree about Suh, every week he acts and sounds like an idiot. Great talent, but fuc him. He should and will be suspended, and if he doesn't pull his head out he should expect to miss several games per season, the league ain't gonna stand for no dickwadding like that anymore. Agree the Pac are better than Lions, and every other team in the league. Not a very good day of football overall imo, good matchups, but not exciting games overall, a lot of sloppy offense hand wrapping for defenses.

Rough game, but i guess they can't all be winners.

This game really came down to one thing...pass protection. Ravens have great D but it aint that great.. When any team gets 9 sacks there is more going on than a team just having great defense...niners offensive line were walking through quicksand all night...but keep this in mind. They were on the field for 45 of 60 minutes Sunday vs. The Cards and had stopped blocking effectively in the 4th quarter of that game, short rest, clear across the country, and then facing a great defense...they were gassed and it showed. I don't care if Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady is your QB..you can't get anything done when you don't have enough time to even say "oh shit" at the pressure. So, while haters who have been dying to pounce on Alex Smith this season but have not had the ammo because of his solid play, this isnt the game. The offensive woes rest completely on the offensive line. Smith and Gore both had not time to even blink.

I think the Niners should have blitzed more, but overall the defense played well except for that one drive where they kept giving up third down conversions.

Ravens just played a nearly flawless game. They had almost no penalties against them and they didnt make any mistakes while a lot of what the Niners do centers around forcing the other team to make mistakes. I think the Niners should have brought a bit more pressure. They seemed to stay back on defense.

Also, the refs made some terrible calls that may have been a 10 point swing. They really need to learn how to discriminate and not be so technical on shit that has no impact...but even if you are being technical, the chop block was footballs equivelent of a breathing call. Rachal touching the rusher had no effect on the clean block by Gore...but chop block, take away a touchdown from Ginn. Also, the pass interference was non-existant. Flacco threw it right to Brown and the reciever was not even looking at the ball.

When Flaco was on tonight, he played like a big boy, some real good 2nd half third down conversions on the scoring drive. A guy like Suggs is a nightmare for any team, gamechanger tonight.

the cheese involved in these thanksgiving half time shows kill me.

The crowd on the field obviously pretending to be in to the music...cheerleaders doing dances to Nickelback songs that don't fit the music. While the super bowl halftime show is consistantly horrible, it's never really corny.

the superbowl halftime show is always corny. big names for the biggest show on earth, bruce springsteen and hootie and the blowfish albums aren't bought by music lovers.

i didn't hear suh's comments but i don't know what he's on if he thinks he did nothing wrong. i can't think of any situation in life or sport where it's acceptable to stamp on a downed opponent.

not quite sure how the dolphins managed to lose that game, but i can think of at least 10 games in the last two years where i felt the same. this team is tantalisingly close to being a contender. A proper head coach and starting QB is all they're short of really. the early season defensive capitulations can be put down to insufficient physical conditioning in pre season as far as i'm concerned.

Yeah I was pissed about the way Suh played and his comments were just stupid. The Lions although are good are far from a contender right now. The Cowboys won again but I was actually surprised it was that close. Romo has been pretty hot lately. I had to work overnight for black friday so I missed the late game but did check out the stats and highlights. Pretty much went the way I thought except with the Niners poor pass protection. I thought it would be low scoring and thought the Ravens would win at home. Im still not 100% sold on the Niners being a SB contender but with that defense they can hang with any1.
