| The Niners are good but as far as u blaming refs and shit come on dude! Your team won and the same problems we have had all season popped up again today. We cant run the ball and we cant stop the run which just happens to be the 49ers strengths. There were a few breaks your boys caught today also that u must have forgot to mention. Hanson is normally automatic and he missed a FG and the end of the half which gave the 49ers great field position to take the lead. Calvin had a great game against your secondary also he just didnt get a TD. He cant get 1 every game. I came on here to give u full credit for calling a nice win for your boys and them getting it and pretty much bottom line is hopefully we meet again in the playoffs. | |

Thanks...it was a good game and i'm not trying to hate on the Lions but i'm going to touch on your points... Every defense would be damn well happy giving Calvin Johnson hundreds of yards recieving as long as they keep them out of the end zone. This guy is of course on pace to shatter the single season record. That is the battle. If you keep Johnson out of the end zone, the Lions chances of winning against a top team(which it looks like the Niners may be again) are greatly impeded. Our secondary is not at the level where nobody can throw on us or get downfield throwing the ball because obviously with the rush defense nobody would move the ball at all on th Niners if that were the case...but the Niners i believe they are ranked #1 in the league statistically in red zone defense which makes up for giving up a lot of pass yards if the end result in not a touchdown..ask Michael Vick and the Eagles and i'm guessing for the most part today the Lions. and yes....the refs were awful. Yes, there was the phantom horse collar on the Lions and some others but look at how many penalty yards the Lions had compared to the Niners. The whole false start shit is getting ridiculous..the Lions are already beginning their rush before the play and one of our lineman buttcheek twitches and it's a false start. A loud crowd does not just get to the players, the officials were fucking up left and right with the false start calls just like they were against the Bears on Monday. There was about 2 false starts calls of the what the fuck variety. Also, if we want to talk about missed oppurtunities..i'll challenge the Hanson missed FG with the preceeding event of Delaney Walker dropping a perfect TD pass that would have put the Niners up i think 19-10. Didnt Hanson miss a 52 yarder? You can't really get on the guy when the field position is that deep.

| it's good to see the 49ers back, they were the big dogs when we started getting the NFL in the UK in the 80's and it's been unfortunate to see them struggle so badly in recent times. god only knows what schwartz was doing after the game though hahaha, unless harbaugh has said something outrageous i can't see any reason for a reaction like that.
saints coach sean payton apparently has a torn MCL and a broken leg after a touchline collision, coaches looking to steal the headlines this week it would appear.

| Looks like the 49ers provided the blueprint to own the Lions. You're welcome, Atlanta. | |

| I was a big supporter at the beginning of the season but Detroit isn't that good of a team. Even in the wins before this 2 game skid they looked pretty shoddy
Tebow = winner | |

| lol at certain bay area media guys who were pumping up Carson Palmer while taking a dump on Alex Smith at the same time then Carson Palmer comes in and throws more interceptons in a single half than Smith has thrown all year. I know the bay area media tries to make up for the Raiders getting less coverage due to lack of interest so they'll take any chance to build them up in comp to the Niners to stir things up and appear even, but Carson Palmer leaves Niner fans and the rest of the NFL world LOL'ing. It's not 2006 anymore...things done changed. | |

| Im pretty surprised my Browns defense is ranked 4th in the NFL...i wouldnt say that ranking reflects how good they are exactly. I'd still say were in the middle somewhere, and the ranking will fall down accordingly in the upcoming games. I do believe our defense is solid though.
I just wish our offense would step up and do something.

i've grown quite nostalgic for these type of games. a 44-38 shootout used to be something rare and exiting to watch but it has become rather boring seeing it every other game. it's very depressing watching some of these players attempts at tackling people as well, that seems to be a dying art.

sound tackling technique and the sort of hits people are getting fined for don't have that much in common with each other. banning leading with the helmet shouldn't prevent defenders from wrapping up ball carriers in the open field.

| 6-1..keep rollin rollin rollin rollin rollin
I got to hand it to the Browns defense. Their top 5 defense is pretty good but not good enough to stop Gore...and of course the Niners defense keeps trucking. Niners GSP'd this game, but it will look like a blowout in the standing.
