| guys, its time to admit it, boxing isnt the only crooked combat sport.
50-45 in a fight that close, no way, I understand 10-10 rounds in that fight but anyone saying one guy, whoever it is, won all 5 rounds in that fight. No fucking way.
Thats to damn fishy, he needs to be investigated and be sat down and forced to watch the fight and explain why he scored the way he did (Adalaide Byrd had to do this in front of Congress after Holyfield vs Lewis 1)

| It was a close, good fight but I really don't think it would be that hard to justify Cruz winning 5-0. I gave 2 rounds to Urijah that I thought were both razor close while I thought Cruz won 3 rounds pretty decisively | |

| i don't think that 50-45 is controversial for that fight. iI had it 3-2 but the two Faber got were close rounds and debatable. I don't think this is even a fight score to point at as fixed. If Faber had won any judges scorecard though... I would. | |

| I don't agree with 50-45, but I could see how someone could score it that way. Last night's fight was very hard to judge. | |

Couldnt agree more. As I was watching i remember thinking to myself damn i would hate to be the judges in this fight. 50-45 isnt the way i had it but at least he had the right guy winning.

| I've always thought they should have judges just for MMA, know what they are looking for and understand how to score the fight, I will give that cruz won, but in no way was it 50-45, I counted 3 knockdowns and I don't care how fast he got up, that is what they were. | |

| I had it 4-1 but could have seen it 5-0 or 3-2... Nothing crooked about the decision though, typical overreaction | |

| How anyone saw that fight 50-45 is beyond Me. I can see a case for 3 rounds for Cruz, even 4 rounds for Cruz depending on the first, or two rounds for Faber, or one round for Faber and one round a draw. No way do I see any criteria at all for Cruz taking every round of that fight, especially not the fourth round. Round 4 Faber won for sure, round 1 is up in the air and I personally scored it 10-10 because they were in a dead heat there. | |

| I'll have to watch again but I don't think Faber won any round of that fight "for sure". I gave him 2 rounds and both of them were razor close and honestly I was looking for rounds to give Faber because I wanted him to win. There was the possibility for some 10-10 rounds though | |

Well said, it was like the judges didn't care about anything except the takedowns, and gave no credence whatsoever to the punches that were knocking Cruz down.

| Yeah Wiman won the second round but what did he do aside from landing those 12 good strikes on the ground there? He did nothing but try to stall while getting punched in the face repeatedly and failing on takedowns and doing nothing with one of the two takedowns he actually got. I just rewatched the fight and took note of when he went for takedowns and when he did and didn't get them.
Round 1
1- 4:30 to 4:23 first round = 7 seconds 2- 3:10 he gets the takedown from body lock, Siver up to his feet at 3:06 round one. This starts a continuous string of failed takedown attemps from clinch and single leg positions with Siver attempting a non commital guillotine. They seperate at 1:44 = 86 seconds 3- Siver actually takes Wiman down at 1:11 of round one and holds him down from half guard until :50 = 21 seconds 4- Wiman dives for a single leg at :38 and works until Siver slips his leg out at :30 = 8 seconds 5- Wiman goes for another single leg at :20 against the cage and drags Siver with a pulling type drag down and ends up in side control briefly before trying to punch from guard and missing until the end of the round = 20 seconds
Round one: 4 seperate takedown attempts by Wiman, one successful takedown, and 121 seconds of time spent trying to get a takedown by Wiman.
Round 2
1- 4:46 Wiman catches a kick and and backs Siver up into the cage before diving for a double leg. He continuously tries for singles and doubles until Siver tries to spin away and is tripped down at 3:08 = 98 seconds They never get off the ground from here until the end of the second round.
Round two: one string of takedown attempts, one successful takedown, 98 seconds of time spent trying to get a takedown.
Round 3
1- at 4:31 Wiman catches a body kick and tries for the single leg but Siver pulls his leg out at 4:28 = 3 seconds 2- 4:27 Wiman immediately shoots for a single after Siver pulls his leg out of the first attempt. Siver on top of Wiman's back in a sprawl against the fence before Siver pulls his leg out at 3:59 = 28 seconds 3- 2:14 Wiman drops down for a single leg against the fence and digs for a takedown until 1:21 when they both stand up in a clinch = 53 seconds 4- Wiman catches a body kick and hangs onto it while standing at :48 and gets a trip takedown at :46 staying on the ground before getting reversed at :29 = 2 seconds 5- Wiman gets dropped with a leg kick at :23 and goes for a single leg from his butt at :22 and gets it somewhere around the 5 second mark(which is where Siver goes for the guillotine) at the end of the round = 17 seconds
Round three: 5 seperate takedown attempts, one successful takedown(two if you count Siver pulling back for that guillotine), 103 seconds spent trying to get a takedown.
So we have 3 rounds in which Wiman spent 312 seconds trying to get a takedown, and succeeding on 2 of 10 seperate attempts which amounts to 5 minutes and 12 seconds for two takedowns, only one of which occurs outside of the second round. No way did a guy who got outstruck standing and spent over five minutes stuffed on 8 of the 10 individual attempts with a seperation between them deserve to win the fight.
