- HBO's longtime "unofficial ringside judge," Harold Lederman, finally has his dream gig: He'll be promoted to the "analyst" position Saturday night for Saturday night's opening fight between undefeated Adrien Broner and Jason Litzau, part of HBO Boxing After Dark.
Lederman, a 25-year-veteran of HBO broadcasts as the on-air scorer, will team with veteran blow-by-blow commentator Bob Papa for the 10-rounder between Broner and Litzau.
The decision was made after Roy Jones Jr., the lead analyst, was scratched from the Litzau-Broner bout because his promotional company has a relationship with Litzau.
Jones will, however, call the main event of the evening between Canelo Alvarez and Ryan Rhodes, with Lederman returning to his usual post. http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/167723-hbo-makes-lederman-an-analyst-saturday |
