what is this based on? Mav's have been a top level team for years. Dirk was flat phenomanal in the finals and the playoffs, and has an excellent career resume. The Mav's have a very nice mix of offense and defense. They swept the defending champs They just beat a team loaded with superstars in the finals. Nothing points to this team being relatively weak in relation to other recent champs.

I doubt if the Heat had won, or the Lakers, or even the Celts or Thunder, you would have made such a comment.

Name a champion from the previous 20 years that the Mavs would beat in a 7 game series?

That team had played 4 seasons in 3 years, more games in a 3 year period then any team since the 90-94 Bulls, there's a thing in sports called running out of gas. Now credit to the Mavs in that series, but that's a realistic way of looking at it. Then you have Pau Gasol turning into Darco Milicic, and letting the fact that his fiance dumped him effect his game on the court. Also you had Fisher yet another year older....The hunger and fresh legs that they had the previous 3 years would have shown a completely completely different team.
