Ricky Rubio agrees to play for T-Wolves

MINNEAPOLIS -- Ricky Rubio is coming to Minnesota after all.The
Spanish point guard has agreed to join the Timberwolves next season,
ending a drawn-out, delicate, two-year negotiation with the team that
had many league observers believing he did not want to play in
Minnesota.A person with knowledge of the agreement confirmed to
The Associated Press Wednesday night that Rubio will be in Minnesota
next season, giving the woebegone Timberwolves a much-needed dose of
good news.

Well, Jennings sucks...so thats a good start.

and yes...Jennings is horrible.

and i'll disregard that he's a total douche with an 80's haircut in my list of why he sucks.

1. Jennings. Point Guard. Penetration ability. Quickness.....avereges less than 5 assists per game. The late 90's called. It wants it's irrelevant Steve Francis/Stephon Marbury style PG back.

2. Jennings. Point Guard. 16 points per game on average. Pretty good for a point guard...NOT. The bum shoots 39% from the floor and jacks up close to 15 shots a game. Not Mr. Efficient. He shoots 30% from deep...and he sure likes to jack em up too.

3. Jennings can't stay infront of a statue.

4. Jennings is filmsy in build and weaker than the other guards in a PG dominated league.

He's a backup PG on a good team...a starting PG on a bad team(like Milwaukee)

Ricky Rubio will have to reach maybe HALF his expectations to be as good as Brandon Jennings. I'm positive he'll be a much better PURE PG than Jennings...where as Jennings isnt even very good as a me-first PG.

Man Rubio talk too, had an argument with my buddy about this, I'll post his Euro league stats later.

23min, 5.3 pts, 1.7-5.2, 33.1% shooting, 27% from 3, 77% FT, 4.4 dimes, 2.2 TO and 1.7 stls


Now the kid is young, and if he stays in the league, which would be good for him, he'll obviously improve, but I see struggles for the first bunch of years. The Euro game is certainly different, and he'll have some more freedom with Mini, but he really needs to work on his shot. His D is actually pretty solid, has quick hands, plays he passing lanes well, so that's a plus. It a tough compare with Jennings (who was a complete surprise) because although he struggled in the Euro league, it wasn't as bad, and you got to give the kid a bit of a break for having a huge culture shock. I mean you're throwing this young kid into Europe all alone, and it can be tough on a young player, plus the game is different then what he grew up with here in the states.
