| I enjoyed it. Not the best card but ok. Grove really couldnt do much. Mighty mouse won a controversial dec but IMO neither did much to secure the win. I'm not high on stann but IMO once again exposed jap mma in the states. Story went to show how in mma, striking is only one aspect of the sport and secured 2 rounds. Struve was obvious the better striker but in mma anything can change with one punch in the mma hw division. Mir proved me wrong and showed that even though gassed, skill surpasses all. Finally, although IMO rampage didn't fight to ko and engage his opponent, he did outclass him and beat him up to another dec. Good card. To me IMO Mir/ Nelson fight was the best fight but that's cus I'm mostly a big Mir fan watching win a fight against a top 10 even though he is a fading version of his former self. The main event was exactly what I predicted so I really wasn't to surprised by the outcome. Ok card I give it a 6 based on my favoritism towards mir | |

| I thought the card was a bit of a let down from what I expected but it was still good with alot of good fighters. I would say 6. | |

| Good fights all around, except for an average main event with little star power. (not Maynard v Gray III) | |

| I liked it alright 7
Dominant performances from Rampage and Mir. Really made their opponents look bad. Breathed them some needed life into their current journeys back to the gold. Page should be getting Evans title shot if his hand holds up. Mir kept himself in the top ten a little longer and showed well. Roy needs to wake up. I think Hamill might of froze a little.
Stann looks better and better the past two years, he is a top ten win away from a title shot. Maia/Munoz or Sonnen next for him. Santiago get replaced by Stann in the middle of the top tap. Loser of Maia/Munoz, or winner or loser of Wanderlei/Leben.
Thought Torres should of got the decision. Close fight but Torres looked better in more ways.
Browne is an interesting cat. Winner of Morecraft/Mittrione next? Think it would be perfect.
Alves fought stupid but at the same time Story did not look better at all, in fact several fights I thought were judged weirdly. Stalling on the cage and doing squat on the ground scored really well against punches to the face last night.
I hope Escovedo gets to stay around. Barao and McDonald are legit top ten BWs. I can think of one former tuf winner who needs to hit the regional circuit.

Actually story won the fight based on aggression, octogon control and outstriking alves. Yes, story outstruck alves the first two rounds. The third was all alves but story outstruck him and controlled him the first two. Imo alves is the best striker in the ww division but its not kickboxing, its mma. Its not the first time he has been outstruck by a wrestler. Wen he faced fitch, the very little time the fight stayed standing, fitch outlanded him. Kinda like box/mma 101. A boxer has a great plan until he is put on his back. Of course alves has his bjj to fall back on but u get the point. His striking is thrown off for he is not able to really commit and let loose for fear of the takedown. Heck rampage has really good boxing yet was outlanded by rashad for his wrestling threw him off

| http://mmajunkie.com/news/23805/ufc-130-salaries-rampage-jackson-250k-frank-mir-250k-lead-fighter-payroll.mmaThe full payouts included: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson: $250,000 (no win bonus) def. Matt Hamill: $32,000 Frank Mir: $250,000 (includes $125,000 win bonus) def. Roy Nelson: $15,000 Travis Browne: $16,000 ($8,000 win bonus) def. Stefan Struve: $21,000 Rick Story: $34,000 ($17,000 win bonus) def. Thiago Alves: $ 33,000 Brian Stann: $46,000 ($23,000 win bonus) def. Jorge Santiago: $36,000 Demetrious Johnson: $12,000 ($6,000 win bonus) def. Miguel Torres: $30,000 Tim Boetsch: $36,000 ($18,000 win bonus) def. Chris Cariaso: $4000 Renan Barao: $10,000 ($5,000 win bonus) def. Cole Escovedo: $6,000 Now, the usual disclaimer: The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income. They also do not include any other "locker room" or special bonuses the UFC oftentimes pays. They also do not include portions of the pay-per-view revenue that some top-level fighters receive. For example, as previously reported, UFC officials handed out additional $70,000 UFC 130 bonuses to Browne ("KO of the Night"), Tibau ("Submission of the Night"), and Stann and Santiago ("Fight of the Night"). In other words, the above figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event. | |
