This is actually a pretty good card top to bottom.

Goldsby vs Morrison was supposed to be a qualifier for the tourney but the fight was scratched. I wonder if Goldsby will get an automatic bid for the tourney or if they'll make him fight someone else. Morrison weighed in 10 pounds over the weight limit so the fight had to be canceled.

Maybe they'll put one of the under card fights on TV now.

What a shitty main event. Was a good fight until Chandler sicked balls. Chandler isn't a better fighter than Freire at all. He rode nutshots to the win, with each nut shot being worse than the previous. Too bad. If Chandler doesn't give one of the hardest knees then three minutes later one of the hardest kicks to the nuts to Freire I've seen in a while, he loses. I had it a draw I guess, but Chandler is not better.

U know what the worst thing is, no matter who the winner would of been and faced the champ, eddie still wouldnt of and wont face an elite lw for at least the next 2 years and some people will still hold him as a top 5 lw

LOL, thought the same thing, not to this extent, but man I can't magine what it's like to get bombed in the balls 3 times like that in a 15 minute tim frame, 2 of em were brutal. Got to give Chandler a little credit though, his westling was expectedely better and he had some nice GnP late. But in terms of fighter skill, no doubt Patricky is better.

Scored it a draw as well, and was actually going to pick Patricky over Eddie if he won, just cause I thought Eddie's getting rocked in fights would catch up with him.

The nut shots didn't help but Chandler looked fresher from the beginning of the fight and his cardio is definitely better than Patricky's. He wins either way most likely. He won all 3 rounds too

how good was the shlemenko cooper fight?

the russian is rising the ranks of my favorite fighters.

Though I do wonder how long that chin holds up, and he def needs to work some ground and pound(he let cooper off the hook a couple times but not doling out some punishment when cooper was hurt), but shlemenko is intent on standing and exchanging, and he does it with flair.

cooper too showing he's a legit player. Still only 23.


Lombard? Bellator needs to see if Manhoef is available.

as far as the main event, not sure how anyone can definitively say freire is the better fighter when he lost all 3 rnds.

A couple things from behind the scenes:

Lombard hurt his shoulder at some point, after his fight he immediately had to have it iced. You could see it was swollen but it didn't seem like it was really injured.

I forget what fighter it was but he was told before his fight he had to change his shorts, by the promoter, or he couldn't fight. He had Hyabusa shorts and because he had no other shorts they had to take a sharpie and black out wherever it said Hyabusa.

Most damaging shots landed in the fight by chandler were to the nuts. Without those he would of likely got KO'd, his ground game didn't exist till the nut shots. Having large balls myself and knowing first hand the effects of such blows, I think it's safe to say the hard knee and then harder kick definitely saved Chandler from getting dropped. He was losing the standup and pre nut devastation had ineffective ground work. First and Second were real close, Chandler got the first Fiere the second, 9-9 third.
