PostSubject: Something about Pau   Something about Pau EmptySun May 08, 2011 9:18 pm

Thought this deserved it's own thread

So I've heard about this but was never buying it, but supposedly Pau's fiance broke up with him not too long ago, and word had come out the a teammate had something to do with the breakup. Well there's talk, Kobe's wife had something to do with it, no fucking clue how, but that's the talk. Could explain some things, at very least the overall breakup affecting his play.

I heard Vanessa Bryant is a cunt supremo so it would not be a shock.

but i don't know if that affected his play. Dallas has a lot of size themselves. LA usually benefits from being the taller team..Dallas had two defensive and rebounding minded centers in Chandler/Haywood and the biggest frontcourt mismatch was at Pau's position in Dirk Nowitzki..i think that played the biggest factor in Pau's play. I think getting crushed on the defensive side of the court can carry over to the offesnsive side, especially when it was as abusive as Dirk was with the Lakers frontcourt.

LA just needs to sure up their PG. I know Fisher is good for some big threes, but he's an automatic matchup advantage for the opposing team and the fact that guys were able to blow past him and set up open three's whenever they wanted was a large reason for the the Lakers downfall

personally, and i think its crazy , but I dont think LA has ever become comfortable playing with each other, is Odom a starter or coming off the bench, will Bynum ever be able to play withthe team for a whole season, is the offense running through Pau or Kobe? Is Ron just here for defense or both?

Someone on the radio made a good point, they said Jordan was the leader to the point that he believed in the team and players around him, he dished to Kerr and Paxton, they were saying Kobe doesnt have that, while I may not agree I would definitely agree that reguardless how many titles they have been to, this team did not mesh in the playoffs this year.

Also didnt hurt that Barrea ran all over the place, Dirk owned LA in every aspect of the pick and roll, which left Jet sitting all by his lonesome at the 3 point line, I mean shit even Peja clowned on the Lakers.

Most overlooked fact (an absolute fact) is that Kobe and Phil Jackson HATE each other. Dont think so? read Jacksons book where he singled out Kobe for alot of shit but worst of all throwing basketballs at his hurt leg during a practice and laughing when Jackson got hurt because of it. (basically painting Kobe as the biggest asshole in the league). Add in know his wifes getting involved in shit (allegedly) sounds like the perfect couple.

In the last two Championships Kobe kicked the ball out to Fish and Artest for huge 3's in the Magic and Boston series.

Phil hates Kobe soo much he came back to coach him to 2 more Championships

Everything is pointing to internal issues right now, players even acknowledge it, Champions just don't all apart like that.

Phil Jackson hates Kobe so much he wrote a book and spent 70% of the book bashing Kobe. His gf works in front office with Lakers, dont act like theres a lovefest bw Kobe and Phil cause everyone knows that aint the case.

Interesting stat

Barrea shot 32% vs Portland

WOW he was just the Lakers poison I guess

LA doesnt it make you sad that the 2 time defending champs showed such poor class that the face of the franchise Magic Johnson spent nearly the entire pre game show apologizing for their play at the end of the game.

Magic overreacted. But he loves the Lakers, so that was just his passion.

I love this time of year when people suddenly become 'fans", you watch the last 10 years Birdy?

Yeah Phil bashed Kobe, then came back and went to 3 more Finals and won back to backs with Kobe as Finals MVP in both, he hates him LOL.

Interesting stat, Lakers 5 Championship since 2000, Mavs none,........ever

and LA sorry dont want you to think Im taking shots at ya, my team just swept the back-to-back champs, and more importantly the damn life-time enigma of Mavs fans, shit even when yall lost Shaq we were up 20 in the 4th on the laers and blew the fucking game.

Ill admit I thought we had no chance at winning this series and was frieking shocked at how easy we made it look in 2 of the games. Props to Kobe for seeming to be the classiest guy on the floor in game 4, even Phil Jackson acted like a prick I love how Jason Kidd tried to talk with Jackson, Jackson started walking off and Kidd grabbed him by the arm.

If Pau did in fact have something up with his fiance, whats up with these big easterner's and their fiance's (remember Dirks girl that looked like Erik Dampier?)

Magic has been more of a Lakers basher for a couple years now then Lakers fan, frequently talked about among fans.

3 straight Finals appearances, Back to Back Championships, not too sad.

Trust me Im a fan. And if you think Phil Jackson and Kobe relationship played more into him coming back to the Lakers than Phil Jackson fucking Jerry Buss' daughter your Nucking Futs!!!

I think he is like the overly critical fan. I think he has a ton of love for the Lakers, makes him act like a crazy fan sometimes. You know the guy that wants to fire the head coach after starting the season 0-2, that kind of fan.

He's the reason I became a fan in the first place, but his thoughts are clouded in some hating these days, and he is't a part owner anymore either, since he's been more critical, doubt he wants Kobe over taking him as best Laker ever deep down.

Something about Pau Empty
PostSubject: Re: Something about Pau   Something about Pau EmptyMon May 09, 2011 5:51 pm

really ? ? Im a realistic Mav fan, going into this playoffs I thought we would win in 6 or 7 vs Blazers, lose to Lakers, thought we had 2 year window left with Dirk. Now Im not so sure cause we dont even have Caron Butler on the floor and J.J. Barrea has always been one of the weak links imo. Ive even said Mavs will never win a title with him as the #2 point, but looking like I was wrong on that.

To me Terry is the big factor on our team, if he comes out and hits a 3 early and nails his jumpers early I feel confident saying we will win the game. Dirk is gonna do Dirk almost every night, but if Terry isnt hitting his j's were in for a long night. I think Terry just had the best game of his life, I wish he took 20 3's he might have hit 18.

I thought our season was over when Butler went down this year, also Im shocked Marion is doing something (solid on D but his Offense is suspect) and he finally started playing like a SF, I like our chances to get to the title again.

Bottom line, Lakers is alot more storied franchise, LA and Mavs have been rivals since the 80's (people still talk about the 80's conference finals series here in Dallas). But the bottom line is when they look at 2010-2011 Playoffs it will say Mavericks over Lakers 4-0. Has Kobe ever even been swept before? Seriously only the Pistons spanked the Lakers in a series like we did (in my memory) and they did differently, they were physical and Rip provided the speed. Its a pretty big deal.

Last time LA lost a series like this they dismantled their team and started over. Wonder if they will do the same this time, lotta rumors about a Dwight trade.

Reality is the thread was created to highlight the possible internal problems the Lakers may have been having. I have a hard time believe, as do most basketabll fans. that the 2x defending Champs couldn't muster up 1 game vs the Dallas Mavricks.

Im sure youll just say Im hating but IMO it isnt close. I have Shaq still being a better player all time than Kobe, rings dont tell the whole story, I dont think anyone will say Horry is better than MJ or Magic or shit even Hakeem Olajowan. Shaq was one of the most dominant and probably the most physically dominant player of all time. Wilt was just standing over a bunch of shorter guys, Shaq was banging into other big men. They virtually changed rules because of Shaq.

1999-2000 Shaq averaged 30 and 15 in the playoffs, 2000-2001 he averaged 30 and 15 again in the playoffs, 01-02 28 and 12, 02-03 27 and 14, 03-04 21 and 14. Thats inthe crunch time and I think anyone that says oh Kobes got 5 rings is greatly underrating the dominance of Shaq.

Thats the thing they tried, then completely fell apart in with 3 minutes left in game 3. I think your overlooking something I said in another thread. Like youve said over and over, theyve been to the title 3 times in a row, that means longest season, shortest off season FOR 3 YEARS IN A ROW, Kobe is getting older and so is Fischer and others. That takes a huge toll on a team, especially since the overall nucleus has remained the same on the Lakers.
