Strikeforce veteran Adam Schindler has joined the "Summer Series" field, which kicks off June 25 at Bellator 46 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Schindler, a two-time state high-school wrestling champion, owns a 9-1 MMA record, which included a current six-fight win streak and a pair of wins in Strikeforce and Bellator. Bellator's "Summer Series" includes monthly events in June, July and August. The MTV2-broadcast series includes many non-tournament fights, but the featherweight tourney earns the winner $100,000 in total pay and a guaranteed title shot. Notables Ronnie Mann, Pat Curran and Marlon Sandro also have been announced for the eight-man field. | |
