A tantalizing matchup between middleweight superstars Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Vitor Belfort (19-9 MMA, 8-4 UFC) has been booked for UFC 133.

UFC president Dana White today revealed the booking to ESPN .

According to Vitor this is the main event so it looks like this card has Spike written all over it unless something dramatic changes

It will probably end up being a lot more competitive than people think...but my "always go with the higher ranked fighter by murder" kneejerk instincts says Vitor Belfort via murder.

I like Sexyama to really make this a good fight and lose by decision or late TKO.

If Akiyama punches the chin with his power things could become interesting. Vitor isn't the picture of a spring chicken, is coming off a video game KO, and hasn't exactly been active.

People either think Akiyama is underrated and a very tough fighter, or overrated and a bum. Not too much in between.

Sexyama is a very live dog in this fight. Vitor isn't exactly in vintage condition right now, he's been plagued with injuries and a long period of inactivity. Sexyama has the power and chin to turn the tide into his favor.

Don't question his toughness but his face got beaten in by 3 inferior strikers to Vitor already. Sloppy striker with no head movement vs vitor = short night

Agree 100% and I still got Vitor. A guy who dosent move very much and takes alot of shots hmmmmmmmmmmm seems like he was hand picked for Vitor.
