NBA PLAYOFFS!!!

i bet Philly is wishing they didnt trade Samuel Dalembert for Spence and Noc...they could probably use the defensive presence and the rebounding about now.

Second half of the Heat game just started and it makes me realize pretty much why I hate the 1st round of the NBA playoffs. There arent very many upsets and they let to many teams in. Philly has no shot to beat the Heat, Pacers cant beat the Bulls, Knicks cant beat the Celtics, and Hawks cant beat the Magic. Pretty much no drama at all.

The Heat look like they are playing a pick up game. Not really trying to play hard and are just going through the motions.

The first round was cool when it was best of 5. and was over fairly quickly if it was a total mistmatch...ooo offensive foul by Bosh..not called.

I don't know why they decided to make it best of 7...but i honestly think it's because too many times the 1 seed or any top seed found themselves in a decisive game 5 against the 8th seed or lower seed and it made that shifty David Stern poop his pants.

I think it was just to make more money. More games equals more dough.

the best of 5 was great because if Indiana won today or something..shit just got real..even if Indiana had won today in this best of 7 format, you know damn well they arent going to win 4 games before the Bulls do.

Absolutely agree man. It took alot of drama out of the 1st round. Not sure if u remember when the Sonics were the number 1 seed and Motumbo and the Nuggets upset them in 5? Remember how exciting best of 5s were? Just way better.

but the basketball playoffs are definetly long winded.

A start would be to cut to 4 team per conference.

Worried teams get left out? tell that to all these near 50 win West teams that don't make the playoffs every year.

Baseball playoffs are for real because you have to be REALLY good to make it. Every now and then a team will get left off that was better than some weak sauce division winner but it only lasts a month and as soon as it starts..you are right in it. NBA playoffs are like another long season.

Yep Baseball playoffs are great. I never think its a good idea when over 50 percent of the league makes the playoffs.

I was never a Jordan fan. I like the unselfish players. Pippen, Duncan and Odom to name a few.

Not me. I like Pippen way more than Jordan.

I think the 6 division winners should get a playoffs birth then the next 10 are decided by record and not 8 from each conference.

Well the NBA will never change it but to me it should be just like baseball. 3 division winners and 1 wild card that has the best record that didnt win the division. Like I said it will never happen because there is to much money in having all 16 teams make it but I would like to see it cut down dramaticly.

They'd have no need for the majority of NBA teams shorting it that way, don't see teams like the Marlins winning it all in the NBA.

We know they wont do it but the 1st round of the playoffs is brutally boring in most cases. The matchups arent even close and there are hardly ever any upsets because they went from best of 5 to best of 7.

Dallas has been a top seed and lost in the 1st rd 3 of the last 4 years, many are picking against them again...You'd never see LA vs OKC last year, actually there's been a lot of dope 1st rd series, Boston going 7 in like 07.

Dude u can pick a couple out of here and there but they would be just as good and maybe better if they were 5 game series. Majority of 1st round series arent very good.

Maybe is the East, not buying what you're seeling here.

There's been 8 50 win teams in the Western playoffs multiple times, can't have teams like that miss out.
