I'll watch it later..i heard some rumblings from some fans that were there live that Takaya got hosed.
I never really thought Takaya was that good. It usually does not work like that for me, but him defeating Bibiano kind of put down Bibiano and didnt move Takaya any further up my list.
but he has a bunch of good wins on his resume. All is recent fights were against legit opponents.
As far as this fight goes, on the screen, Peralta wins handily.

Takaya does have some good wins, he also has some pretty bad losses...so losing to a relative nobody is really nothing new for him.

Typically the feature fight has been a past fight of a guy who is about to fight again soon. I don't remember there being an unaired undercard fight like this though.
Overall it's a pretty new deal, going back only a few months.

They typically do it when they know there is a cult audience for a certain undercard bout. Strikeforce does react to internet fan demands.
They know there were people who follow Japanese MMA that wanted to see Takaya's fight because you can go on sherdog or wherever and people were complaining about Takaya not being aired. They also knew people wanted to see Beerbohm vs. Shaolin after seeing similar complaints so they recorded it with announcers and put it on the site. Also, fan uproar about Hieron-Riggs being unaired got them to the EAsports stream..when that failed, they put it on their site.
So they have done it before when the name value or level status of the matchup on the undercard calls for it.
There has yet to be a SF undercard bout with a fighter anybody gave a shit about that was NOT eventually shown to the fans.
I remember not giving a fuck about Kyle-Feijao at the time...and i doubt they got many complaints about it at the time.
But that is probably the most important prelim they've had and i know i looked for even a crappy cell phone recorded version for days. Also, Beerbohm-Ludwig was another one..but this was right when they got the showtime deal and werent under the MMA community microscope like they've been since August of 2009.
