| With all the talk that Askren is boring, people's understanding of ground transition really has to be called into question. The guy is non-stop on the ground. His stand up sucks and he lacks punching power, but this guy's potential for subs is way higher then any of you realize. His style of wrestling translates best to bjj and its only a matter of time before you see it. 3 subs and 1 tko in 7 wins is not exactly someone who "lays and prays." Few realize what this guy is capable of. If you knew about wrestling, you would know why after his college career, people were doubting his ability to succeed in freestyle because of his scrambling style that often exposed his back. He went back to the drawing board, revamped his game, and won the 2008 olympic trials. Just watch. | |

yeah, and his 4 finishes(1 of which was highly controversial) came, for the most part against weaker comp. Against the better fighters he has been

| Laid on Hornbuckle and Good? I disagree completely. As for the controversial stoppage, it was obvious that his opponent either went limp or pretended to go limp in order to get Askren to let go of the hold, which is just as bad as the fake tap. Regardless, you dont have to like him. As for "His potential for subs? Cool, but as of now..." That is why he is a prospect, for his prospective ability to be great one day. Kinda of implied by the term "prospect." And don't say he isn't a prospect anymore because he holds the bellator title. He is still very new to the game and his ceiling of potential is very high. I think you guys should give him another shot. | |

| Leonard Garcia may actually be 1-7 in his last 8

| he controlled Hornbuckle and Good, he took Hornbuckle down literally while lying on his knees, he controls good fighters, nothing wrong with that. | |

Seriously? When Rick Hawn has trouble taking Lyman Good down I think it's safe to say his takedown defense isn't bad. Granted there weren't many takedown attempts but as I recall Hawn had trouble getting him down before the mid third round.

| Hawn fought dumb, he could have gotten him down more easily going for standard single and double legs but kept looking for trips. | |

| The fact remains that an olympic judoka who placed 9th had plenty of trouble getting Lyman Good down. | |

| Half and half, when he got him down in the 2nd, it stayed there for 5 minutes, IDK, I picked Hawn to win that cause I thought he'd get him down, but left the fight thinking he made it harder then it needed to be. He was pressing Good against the fence with that high Judo stance, when I think he could have just dropped down and got the takedown, but could be wrong, never did Judo, don't know about the intricacies of it. | |

| Askren trying to talk to get some pub to make up for the fact that his fights are all cures for insomniacs everywhere. Good for him | |
