Cruz talks about Faber feud

Here's Cruz talking to MMA Junkie about his side of the story:

Whatever Cruz...you guys werent even the main event for that card and you were just some guy who was getting a title shot despite never fighting in WEC or any decent or known FW up to tht point, and you lost in less than 2 minutes...but you just deserved be on that poster. Stop thiiss. You were viewed as a jobber to get Faber on a WEC card as a co-main event..a special attraction. You werent on the poster because you 1) didnt earn a shot and 2) were going to get killed

They were the co-main event...Condit-Alessio was the main event. Cruz had never fought in the WEC. I can understand why they would say Condit-Alessio and ALSO Urijah Faber defends his belt considering nobody knew who Cruz was and they probably werent making any bones about him being a lamb led to slaughter in a bout with Faber with no real preperation against top competition in the weight class.

I got that, but I can get why he'd be pissed, new to the Org or not, fighting for the Title guys get on the Poster. I don't think it was a huge deal, just more like, damn not on the poster, then shit talking started.


The fight itself is very close at this point for both guys. If Cruz wasn't coming off a layoff and hand injury I'd be pretty confident in him winning, but he is, so gonna wait on this pick.

Im with Kings here.

He had not earned a spot on the poster prior to the fight. and then he validated the poster maker by getting creamed in 2 minutes.

And it should be noted that Faber did not make the poster. So Cruz was the first to disrespect Faber, not vice versa.


Im rolling Faber in the rematch. Not expecting whoop ass, but I think he is a better fighter.

hope faber gets his hands on his little dancing ass and abuses him.

Even sounds about right, can't say at this point either guy is the favorite.

Faber'd be a good bet with the current odds though.
