| Earthquakes, Nuclear plant meltdown, revolts all across the middle east and now another war. Are these signs pointing to the 2012 prophecy ? |

| Though not a believer in 2012, and I've read that the whole 2012 date maybe 50 years off, if the World were to end following this year, it could be so like this.
Now terrorists see the devastation that can be caused by Nuclear Power Plant meltdowns (with there being two strong incidences showcasing this). The United States alone I believe has around or above 100 Nuclear Power Plants, the World? Who knows, but I'd imagine they are semi prevalent in many countries. Terrorists highlight certain Power Plants to attack in the US and spread throughout the World. Though it'd be highly doubtful they'd be successful in their attacks of all targeted Power Plants, they still could conceivably be successful in enough to cause significant Global damages and issues. With attacks on various Power Plants spread throughout the World successful, radiation levels on the planet rise to levels far above healthy liveable levels. Contamination migrates to foods and water supplies further spreading radiation levels to those outside direct contamination areas. The Planet itself doesn't die, but all life on it slowly does.
I also have another one where N. Korea firing Nuc's on whoever..., triggers another World war that ends in Global destruction due to widespread use of Nuclear weapons in retaliation.

for the last time the Mayan calendar did not say the world was ending in 2012 After all, "our planet has been getting along just fine for more than four billion years," added Nasa. Initial theories set the disaster for May 2003, but when nothing happened the date was moved forward to the winter solstice in 2012, to coincide with the end of a cycle of the ancient Mayan calendar. Nasa insisted the Mayan calendar does not in fact end on December 21, 2012, as another period begins immediately afterward. And it said there are no planetary alignments on the horizon for the next few decades. And even if the planets were to line up as some have forecast, the effect on our planet would be "negligible," Nasa said. Modern Maya in Guatemala and Mexico have also rushed to debunk the "prophesy". they view the burgeoning end-of-the-world 2012 industry with a mixture of confusion, exasperation and anger at what is perceived as a Western distortion of their traditions and beliefs. "There is no concept of apocalypse in the Mayan culture," Jesus Gomez, head of the Guatemalan confederation of Mayan priests and spiritual guides, told The Sunday Telegraph. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/6534662/Mayan-2012-apocalypse-theory-not-true-Nasa-says.html#

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/6534662/Mayan-2012-apocalypse-theory-not-true-Nasa-says.html# I don't know what the quotes about, but some are just playing off the calendar ending in 2012 with no real clue about Mayan culture, I certainly don't believe it, but can propose ways in which it could conceivably happen if it were to.

| Not everyone thinks we are close to the apocalypse just because of the Mayans. |
