| Slow, fat, no spring in his step. Like when he fought Forrest. Not the same Shogun who fought Machida at all. | |

| Shogun looked terrible for sure. Winging slow overhands one at a time halfway through the first round. I'm really surprised after last time that he would've looked this bad coming off layoff/surgery but it is what it is. I really would've liked to have seen him at the top of his game | |

| Yep, just about everybody agrees Shogun looked like pooh and would have got smoked by a lot of LHW last night.
I would not be so quick to jump on that, if it had not happened twice before with Shogun. Hell, the Mark Coleman fight was brutal as well...lucky for him, he was fighting Coleman.

| Shogun looked like Shogun out there. He couldn't deal with Jones length and overall performance. Bones would beat Shogun again so get over it gents. Shogun tried to throw down with him many times and Bones made him look silly. I counted 8 times when I watched the fight again. It honestly looked like a Pro vs Joe. I thought Shogun would tear up Bones legs and catch him atleast once. I was shocked, but I am not gonna go with the excuse of an injury. Shogun said he felt the best he has ever felt so that is good enough for me. He got beat plain and simple in a bad way. He knows it and I don't think he ever wants to fight Bones again. He might go on a diet! | |

They always say that. You guys are in denial. It hurt me also Wolf and I am just being real. Shogun looked like he was ready to tear Jones apart. When he got hit and tossed he started to think too much and then Bones made him look silly. Then he just got beat down. If anything it might have been mental after the fight started. I can see Shogun giving Jones a better fight, but I am not gonna say he can get his title back. Bones is too good for Shogun imo. So is the rest of the guys in the UFC imo. Phil Davis is my only ? right now. I kinda want to laugh at that thought too.

| This coming from some1 who thought Bones would beat Shogun anyways but to be honest Shogun looked alittle flabby in the mid section and definitely looked very slow. He tried no combos and looked gassed before the fight started almost like the moment was to big for him which would make no sense. I know he was coming off an injury but to call a fight the biggest of your life and then put on a performance like he did last night is crazy. Im not talking about the 2nd and 3rd rounds so much because he was hurt already pretty bad but he definintely didnt look like he came to fight in the 1st round either. Shogun at his best i believe Bones would have beat him last night but Shogun the way he looked and fought last night Bones destroys him just like he did every time. | |

Shogun came to fight and he was in great shape. He was overwhelmed timmeh. I understand that u believe he was in great shape but the fact of the matter is he did nothing to show me he was in great shape at all. I do think he was overwhelmed but I also think Bones was overwhelmed at how easy Shogun was to dominate. Shogun threw no leg kicks and only looping rights that had no shot to land and thats something out of shape guys do. Loop punches and dont follow gameplans lol.

| Even Bader put up a better fight than Rua. Rua was not 100%. |

| The very first strike landed in the fight was one of the hardest in it as well. The flying knee. Shogun was not prepared physically, be that from the layoff or the beating that began and continued throughout the fight. He was still dangerous in several instance. Middle of the third he ducked a right head kick by Jones by less than an inch and came over with a counter right that was less then an inch from being a knockdown blow. But he did not look good at all, not normal. | |

| Said this last night
Bones is like the real "new breed", we've really never seen a LHW athlete like him before. He completely dominated Shogun tonight, and his talent and skill are much of the reason for that.
That said, Rashad would have beaten the Shogun we saw in the cage tonight too. He doesn't come off long layoffs well, and this reminded me of the Forrest fight all over again. Shogun looked slow, was carrying a little extra around the mid section and just didn't seem like Shogun at all. But unless he recieved some sort of injury tonight, I fully expect Shogun to win his next fight.

| There is no doubt something was up with Shogun. He was far from the Shogun that KO'd Machida. I kind of expected it to be like the Chuck fight when the fight first started. Shogun starting off slow but not taking too much damage. Then turning it up, but that never happened. Looked like he never got into his groove. Wouldn't be surpised to hear about an injury. | |

| He wasn't injured just unfit and out of shape. He's the type of fighter that needs a couple of fights in quick succession to get into the groove. |

Are you speaking on fact? Or just your observation? Cause we really don't know if he had any nagging injuries. Like when he fought Forrest. His injury prevented him from training hard and being in shape. Hard to imagine Shogun would just come in out of shape, I'm sure some injury factored in.

| Rua and Dana both said his knee was 100% and that's why he hasn't fought for so long because he wanted to make sure it was. |
