I'll be honest, I've had a mancrush on Urijah Faber ever since I saw this video
but seriously, this kid is going to be a megastar now that he's in the UFC. He looked great last night and made Wineland look slow. Already looking forward to his next fight.

Dana already said that his next fight will be for the title.

I've actually been leaning more towards Cruz in that matchup over the last couple fights. Can't wait to see it though. Dana said they won't be coaching TUF

Wineland's striking looked terrible for his standards and Urijah's wrestling looked bad for his standards. I suspect Wineland did mainly wrestling and Faber mainly striking during their camps.

I was thinking Cruz, think he has much better standup then Faber and can keep the fight standing, partly using his elusive footwork. But man Uriah has been looking great at BW, and when that fight goes down Cruz is going to have had a long layoff.

Faber did not show me anything that I haven't seen before, he couldn't get Wineland down and was throwing a telegraphed looping right all night long, will need to keep his hands up and show that he can defend leg kicks cause the blueprint is out on him, Wineland was just to cocky to use it.

I remember him telling the story on Rome. Gotta love Faber.

Wouldn't it be better to make Faber vs Torres first ?

At first it seems like it, but that would eliminate a future title fight with Torres later should Faber win. The UFC probably stands to make the most money out of Faber vs Cruz over any available match up at the moment and saving Torres for whoever the winner leaves the most valuble contender out there. A Faber Torres fight kills one of those two and the UFC doesn't want to risk losing a Faber title fight. Beyond that, Faber has decisively beaten two solid top ten title contenders/former champions and has fully earned a shot regardless of everything else. No other fight really makes sense besides Faber vs Cruz. Faber vs Torres made sense a few months ago after Valencia and Mizugaki but not any longer. Torres vs Bowles II may be worth making though I'd rather see Joe-Jitsu and Brain Bowles face eachother while Torres takes on Scotty Jorgensen.
