I've read before that Anderson isn't the greatest in practice, but I still think Anderson looked much better standing than Machida. | |

| In the striking he looked better. He didnt look better grappling standing or on the mat, at all.
They were just sparring after all though. | |

| from what Ive seen, Anderson just doesnt look impressive in sparring, Ive seen a boxing sparring video at wild card where he was sparring a mid carder ESPN fighter and the dude started pot shotting Anderson like crazy at the end.
Machida was owning him in the wrestling, my take, is that Anderson is a good training partner because he isnt a asshole that tries to blow you away (which he could), he tones it down alot in sparring imo. | |

They where working hard on the ground but yeah you can't judge who would win between these two from that. They were going way light on the feet, I don't think anyone would be surprised to find out Machida can out wrestle Silva, and the ground look pretty equal to me. | |
