THE END NEARING FOR RICH FRANKLIN

The end of a very sold career is coming to an end after Rich Franlin's next fight (which will be his last). I had the pleasure of speaking with Franlin a couple of days ago when he hit me with this news. Franklin has had a very sold career with notable victories over Wanderlei Silva and Chuck Liddell, among others. Franklin has been – and will hopefully continue to be – a great ambassador for the UFC. As of now, Franklin has no immediate plans after his retirement.

Anthony Mathews
Centerville, Ohio

1 more fight apparently.

Hopefully he gets someone like Tito or Couture who he can really solidify his status as a legend among them.

I'd love to see Rich smash Tito. But I think Tito will lose to lil Nog and get cut.

Franklin is no legend. He beat Liddell and Wanderlei when they were way past their peak and has not beaten a prime legend.

He is a borderline legend with some very nice wins over his career. All of his loses are to former Champions. Very nice career. Borderline legend. Will probably make the UFC HOF.

I wonder if this story will get any legs?

And Rich is a top teir fighter and a swell guy. Never a top top dawg, but worthy of all praise. Wouldn't be surprised if he was a UFC HoF'er one day.

Fight with Tito if he beats Nog would be ideal. Hell, even a fight with Nog would work for me. Great career though

and it only makes sense. It's not like Forrest dominated or anything, Ace was very competitve and lost the fight 2 rounds to 1. He has done very well fighting the best out there, there seem to be plenty more fights out there for him.
