| Obviously they'd be deserving for getting there beating good fighters, but boy would that be an overall downer.

| Downer isnt the word for it. Reem will win this tourney and nothing that happened last night makes me think other wise. | |

| Def not the finals matchup that Coker is hoping for, that is for sure.
Though while Fedor Reem was the matchup everyone hoped would happen, I think we would all be pretty psyched to see Silva vs Reem. Wins can change perspective.
Though I do think that from a marketing perspective Reem getting to the finals is a must.

| I said last night, Foot is probably a tougher matchup for Reem then Fedor would have been. But just saying that would blow for what Coker was expecting to get from the Finals
I say Reem vs Barnett, Reem takes it.

| It would be a great fight, that's for sure, and the winner would be fighting Overeem for the title. Scott said tat the weigh ins that in all the combat sports tournaments he's been part of over the years, rarely do the favorites get to the finals. Promotional fluff? He could only hope, but grounded in truth, that's how it goes, it's mma. | |

| If Reem loses to Werdum, that would be a major stinger. I think this tourney really needs Reem to win that fight. If Silva beats Reem, there will still be decent hype, but a Silva Werdum quarter final? not so much hype there. | |

| Overeem vs Barnett is going to be the final for sure. Then we will see if Horse meat or Bull meat is better | |

| the way I look at it, whoever wins will have earned it and should rightfully become a extremely respected fighter
If Big Foot or Sergei win it they will legitimately be a top dog in the division
I see Overeem knocking out Werdum in a clinch and then if that happens can I just say something
IS NOBODY ELSE EXCITED AT THE POSSIBILITY OF BIG FOOT VS OVEREEM???? They are both two huge mo-fo's and look, people need to quit this, "up its over Fedor wasnt good his last 2 fights," crap Werdum and Big Foot both put on great performances Fedor may not have been a top 3 HW but he was still and is still a top 10 hw.
Big Foot put on a clinic on Fedor in the 2nd and I was very impressed.
Everyone penciling in Barnett automatically better think about what just happened last night.

| It would be a final nobody predicted but i'd imagine after watching them both go through the tournament it would not be such a downer and something to get excited about. Especially from the Bigfoot side. | |

| I do think Strikeforce can really put some strong marketing behind Bigfoot.
The guy is huge, scary as fuck, and talented. Not to mention an awesome, true to physical form nickname.
His mauling of Fedor was so convincing that it works big in SF's favor, while at the same time Fedor going down like that sucks...but thats how it is with most fights.

| There was talk of the Final being a PPV
Fedor or Reem vs the guys on the other side is PPV
Foot vs Serg is not
It would be a good fight if just looking at the fight, but the Prix sidelined the HW division for a year, Fedor and Reem were in the tourney, it'd be a downer.

| Well, that can be a blessing in disguise. I don't think SF should go on PPV untill they have a fully developed roster, in all classes, a more established brand name, and more recognizable names than a few. The longer they are around, they'll accomplish that. No matter who went forward in the tournament i would prefer if they tried to get back on CBS a few more times before they try putting together PPV's.
Sf can put together a strong PPV card but it would be best for them if they got these guys and their brand name back on CBS. Even if PPV drew a relatively decent buyrate for them, it would not be as much progress in improving brand and fighter recognition as getting Reem, Diaz, Bigfoot, Jacare, etc. on network again. That would play into their favor in the future.

| I'm not really saying they should, infact I don't think they're ready at all. I'm just saying they went from a possible big name PPV style worthy Final, to a "what if" Foot vs Serg Final. It def wouldn't be what anyone here was expecting or initially wanted. | |

In a month in a half 2 more heavyweights will be freed up, most likely Rogers and Werdum.

| The Tourney sidelined the divison, you know how the HW Title won't be defended at all this year. | |
